Default de-riced my bizox (pics up)

Today, being almost a hundred out and extremely humid...I decided, what a great day to work on the car lol.

I had ait planned a couple weeks ago...

As many of you Minnesotans know, I painted my capilpers and drums red 2 years ago. Well, the stuff was flaking and it looked like rice poopie. Kristin even said it was cheap and"ricer" and she doesnt lnow anything about cars. So, I took it as a hint.

I bought the G2 paint kit a few weeks ago...now they are black, pics coming soon

Here they are....

Well, I started on sunday, and good lord was it hot as a banchie out! It was the only weekend I had free to do it though. Thanks to Jake for borrowing me the extra 2 jackstands.

I did the G2 caliper paint that khilgers did. After mixing in the reactor to the paint, you have 4 hours to wrok with the stuff until it sets up. So you need to jack the whole car up to cut down on time etc as well as prep. The brakes were red, did that 2 years ago...stuff was starting to flake off and it was overal ricey POS. But after 2 years there is no rust on my calipers or drums.

Heres some pics

After

Much better. I'd lose the stickers and license plate frames too, but thats just my opinion.

True the red stickers "stick out." Could loose the frame up front for a cleaner look. I mayself like having the frames and big white stickers on my black cherry box.

The stickers are for MNsport compacts car club and mn scions, those are staying for now..

The frame is no ordinary frame, its studded, so if some wisea$$ pulls up to far on my in a parking lot....their bumper gets pireced. They use them out east...people out there hit each other all the time and drive off.
