I used to live In Phoenix and made it to cali every 2 or 3 months for a quick weekend getaway. Was about a 6 hour drive to the beach, 8 if we did the speedlimit

 

Ouch. that hurt, but im 2 1/2 hrs from America's playground Las Vegas. lol...... A really good friend of mine just moved from here to Lakeview or Lakeside, MN. he says it gets butt a$$ cold in the winter.

 

buffalo got it worse though!

 

thats going to end up costing me a ton. living in a apt means, no way to get any hose to rinse the bottom
car wash everyweek would really cut into my funds

man, I haven't even had my car very long, would really suck to start seeing rust spots after it's first winter!

speaking of which.. any of you bloomington residents know a good carwash? I want my car cleaned top to bottom before the snow falls.

I only ask because I've heared horror stories about carwashes messing up peoples cars..

I took it to paradiase and they put swirls all over the damn car.

should of bought a white tC.. would been harder to spot it.

I love beautiful days like yestterday and today. I gave my car a good cleaning and a polish job. Probably the last one I do manually this year.

I found it particularly odd to be walking home at 5:30pm, 67ºF, and dark out. Carpe diem ... supposed to snow Thursday night.

I just realized that I might be able to store my xB all winter ... I bus to work, and have a pick-up truck that I didn't trade in.

Do a lot of people put "snow tires" on? How necessary is it for the typical suburban MN driver? thx

I didn't get to wax the car while the weather was nice... stupid work! now I have to do it saturday. all day swirl removal and complete wax job. le sigh.

 

I just had Discount tire mount up yokahama snowies on the stock rims, after having them powdercoated,of course.

I hate the winter too, but im fine, my tC is parked for the winter so i can get a few thing done to it, but im kinda sad because over here in sothdakota its been a nice winter so far and i parked my car already and started working on it, but o well atleast its safe from those stupid south dakota divers. I'm glad that spring will come soon, on 138 day left to go! hah jp How many of you guy from this area park your Scions for the winters?~Irwin
