LOUD SYSTEM & UNIVERSITY=CAR BEIGN TOWED
I just got a ticket on 4/17 for my stock stereo. the cop told me about a new city ordinace. 0 tolorence on fri-sat night on uni. that if they can hear you stereo past 50ft they will give you a ticket and tow your car. then you dont get your car back till you go to court. i still have the box the cop let me go with just the ticket, he said because i was not an a$$ hole. SO EVERYBODY WATCH OUT

yes it is josh but this is what the cops and the courts want. is to jumble up the tow lots with cars with stereo's so they get jacked. and the courts for a stereo and not a murder case

i've heard of laws like that, but from what i understand, it was too loud if you can hear it 50 ft away and all the doors and windows are closed.
i can understand a citation or fine or whatever, but towing? that is rediculous

it is some stupid right to life law up here.. it was a nice day and all the window down volume on 53 and 50cent playing. cop claims he was 150ft away and did not pull me over for about 1 mile. i bet if i was listening to korn he would not have pulled my white a$$ over as cops

OK, so without being a *****, ask to pace off 50ft, and then request a DB meter. Use the technology to make a case. I did this in Blaine about ten years ago... He pulled me over claiming that he could hear my music. I asked if he could identify the music, he couldn't. I then asked about the base Db level that was set as "too high" he didn't have one. I then paced off the footage, and kept turning up the stereo until the volume limiter kicked in ( GMC trucks) and we STILL couldn't hear it. Once I OPENED THE DOORS, then we could hear it. The Answer was, " I was sure it was you" this process took about 45 minutes of Mr Officer's time and proved my point, and informed without being an AHOLE...
