Scion is such a new car in the US, our numbers are few and far between. Compared to the other cars that are out there, we are just a dead bug on a windsheild.

They may be highly stolen but the difference between the number of cars out on the road and the number that are broken in to or stolen would be so low compared to other models because there are not that many made. I am sure it will never make the list.

No one wants to steal an xB unless they know its boosted, or an extremely high amount of electronics in there that they can tear out.

Its the law of supply and demand. How many 95 civics are out there???? They are all in need of parts from the Midnight Auto Supply.

The mass produced import cars from the early to mid 90's always get boosted and parted out. The law of the land, and most of those aftermarket parts you cant track.

No one is saying it's better....I was just saying there are a whole lot more out there. People tend to steal cars that are easy to steal, not necessarily nice. Also, where cars are mostly stolen there might not be as many scions. You hear about people with older cars having them stolen a lot more frequently than people with a brand new car. It takes a while for the theives to find out the easiest way to steal a completely brand new model of car.

You cant do $hit with our motors. Honda's are most stolen, They have completly mapped the ecu, so you can do just about anything with it. They are easy to tune and take well to boost, unlike the xB. Plus no one has succesfully mapped our ecu yet. These cars will never be sought after by theives. Unless they need it to commit a crime, or they want your subs.

Ontop of that, hondas are very easy to break into. I know of several tricks that I will not post, so the young ones on here dont get any ideas. Also, the parts avail either high end or cheap are very very saturated with products.

You are right about parts. Hopfully it wont come to that for us. If they discontinue this bodystyle somwhat soon, we wont have to much to worry about within the next 10 years. /crosses fingers
