On the DC header? I might be buying a used one, it was used for about 2000 miles. Guy traded in his xB, so he took it off.

To me a header is a header. I can say only buy name brand equipment, they are proven to get you power. I myself bought a brand new HP Racing header over 2 years ago. I knew it was a good brand and product. DC is very popular in Scion’s and they are priced right.

New product takes time to cure, and the machining oil needs to burn off. If you buy used, at least your car won’t have that break in period and smell funky. I can also tell you that you SHOULD NOT use the original seals, buy new ones when you install it. You might have a few small leaks if you use the original ones.

Where did you buy aftermarket ones? How much are they? and how do you know which will fit the xB?

I bought the OEM ones from the dealer. You don’t want to use the old seals/gaskets when changing the header. The OEM and the aftermarket headers will have different edges, better to buy new ones that can form to the new header if there are differences. Also if you are doing it yourself, be careful with the compression bolts that connect the header to the exhaust piping. They have a tendency to break if to tight or if you are to quick with an air hammer.
