Default ___ Scion Weekend, 6/1 - 6/3, Eastern PA

Hello,
I am pleased to announce Scion Bois Weekend at The Woods in PA. This will feature a weekend full of ___ Scion activities. The date is Friday, June 1st through Sunday, June 3rd. The theme is White Weekend:
Light your site with white! The Woods will glow from the black lights of our White Party. If it's tight and white - wear it! White Block party on Saturday! AIDS fundraising weekend.

Black lights, glow sticks, and White Wear will be provided, so why not come out and meet your fellow ___ Scion Owners. This year, we are also offering a 1 day pass, for Saturday, a 1 night stay, for Saturday night, or a full weekend package for anytime Friday through Sunday.

The Woods is a premium Members Only ___ campground in Lehigh County, PA. That's about 2 hours from NYC or Philly. It is easily accessible from Rt. 78, Rt. 80, The PA or NJ Turnpike, 95, and the PA North East Extension. It is just across from Central NJ. It features a pool, two hot tubs, a lake, restaurant, full store, as well as full bathroom and shower facilities. It is fully staffed and you will receive five star treatment for sure. It's better than any hotel I have ever stayed in. I have been going there for three years.

Friday will feature tanning and hiking, for those that can arrive early. Meet and greet will probably run until past midnight, along with dancing and such. You can arrive as late as 2 AM. Saturday, we will go for a short parade through the campground roads at noon, and leave our cars on display. Everyone in our group will get one vote for Best Scion and Best Boi. Each winner will receive a gift basket. Saturday night will be a full out White Party. Midnight is the midnight hike and star gazing. Sunday will be breakfast, packing up, and you are allowed to stay until the afternoon, if you wish.

The fees payable to the campground are as follows: flat membership for everyone: $10. In addition, one day is $8, one over-night is $15 and the full weekend for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is only $30 + the $10 membership. This is payable upon arrival. In addition, there will be a small fee for food and drinks, depending on what we do. There will be some equipment such as air beds, as well as a large group tent. So it's okay if you don't have any gear. Your total expenses will be kept very very low.

So who is up for this unique weekend?! Again, you don't need gear and we will provide as much as possible for you. Come out and make Scion History. BTW, your privacy will be assured and your name will not be published. Also, you are welcome to bring a non-Scion open-minded male friend, as well as your own tent, food, drinks, etc. Everything will be kept as open as possible. Feel free to pass this along to anyone who might be interested.

What this IS:
A relaxing low cost weekend with like minded folks in a retreat type setting.

What this is NOT:
A drunken sex fest rave.

Hugz,
Billy in Philly

Do you mean for Philly? I am not sure, I think it's usually the 3rd or 4th week of May, but it moves around. This place is ___ all the time. Would you like to join us? It's 2 hours from NYC so not too bad.

I'll update the thread soon, and see if I can get a head count.

I'm closer to Boston than Philly. Pride in Boston/Providence is usually the first or second weekend in June, so I +might+ have plans. I used to drive from Boston to D.C. twice a month for work, so Philly would be a cake-walk. I'd need a tent with central air, a 600 thread-count sleeping bag and a wake-up call at noon. ;)

All kidding aside, how soon do you need a yea or nay?

I have a trailer that sleeps 10, satin sheets and a coffee maker. Does that work? If you want more rustic I have several tents and air beds.

I'll email you in a week or two when I do roll call. I'm keeping it as open as possible, so far as the days.

Just checked with TomTom. He sez it's around 5 hours door to door. I'll check with work ( and the BF ) to see if I can get the time off. Sounds like fun!

Bring the BF, too. The more the merrier. Most people are couples up there, so you'll fit right in. BTW, how old are you?

We're 72, lol. I'm 41, he's 31. I +think+ he's interested. Not much of a car guy ( ask him what kind of car he has, he'll say "tan" ) He is into the whole nature/park/hiking stuff, but he HATES bugs. Might be a tough sell.

Looks really peaceful. Surprisingly cheap, too. He already has the time off requested, my confirmation should be in by this week. Here's hopin'!

Anybody here go to P-Town regularly? I'm about an hour and a half away. I used to go a couple of times a year. Last year was the first year I missed a trip in about 15 years. I really feel like I missed out on Summer.

I can't guarantee how many Scion people will be coming, you know how people are, but I'm sure you'll have a good time. Yes, it is pretty inexpensive, and all inclusive. It includes the dances, pools, showers, etc. Nice not getting nickled and dimed to death.

Hugz,
Bill

Sorry to say, no one was that interested, except you. Oh well, I had a good time with friends, anyway.
