Dealership Experience
This poll is just to give me an idea of the customer service that Toyota Corp. is offering its customers. Your input is very much appreciated.

I put great with some hessitation. The one dealer i was dealing with knew nothing about the Scion line. And he was only going to offer me $1500 for my trade; a 2 yr old Accent with 10K miles in mint condition.
The dealer that actually sold me my box was great. Even though he had no clue about the RS1, i still would rate him great. Unfortunately he is no longer at that dealership. Oh, he also had no problems getting me a replacement Hotchkis Strut bar, cause the powder coat was flaking off of my original. That was Toyota of Runnemede.
Toyota World in Lakewood ... now that is a different story. If i have to bring my box in for any further warrenty work, ill be doing that at Toms River Toyota. Some 20 minutes further down the road.

yeahh, this is more of a personal issue because my dealership is on the not so good side. The whole thing is WE bought BRAND NEW cars from them and they should at least adress any issues we hve right away. I would undestand if the car I bought was a $2000 beater, but its not. Other brand dealerships go out of their way to help their customers out, and I feel that they should do the same too. I just want to know if what I experienced is common among Toyota dealers or if they are random incidents.

Edit - I bought my car at Cherry Hill, they rule, very nice, Toms River...they don't know what they doing..."Gateway Toyota"...booooo!
I can tell you from personal experience through out my life that no dealer is happy to see you once you buy the car. Everything from the Neon to my Accent to my Chevy Express Van and even my Scion. It has become the American way, to just make the sale. Everyone of those cars listed above i had some minor problem with shortly after purchase. And i was greeted with as much as a " Its not our problem, go some where else" ( Accent ) to " Im sorry to hear that, let me get back to you next week" ( Scion ) and the dealer didnt. Turns out that it was the parts fault for not orderinng the correct strut bar.
I would say that dealers as a whole would rather just sell the car, and not ever hear from the customer again. If you do complain, they will do everything in their power to make it difficult for you. Sad, but true.

I've bought so many cars over the last few decades I could write a book. The worst dealer, Newton Chrysler/Plymouth was so bad they were forced out of business.
The last two: Sansone's Rt 1 Automall. The place is like a meat market but the overall experience was a good one (thanks to Carlos)
Salerno-Duane Pontiac/Kia in Newton. I had a Kia that was always back at the dealer for parts that broke down. It broke down multiple times per month, month after month. I considered the lemon law but my big troubles started after 25,000 miles. The quality of the vehicle was terrible but the dealer service was very good including providing a loaner car.
I liked the service from that dealer so much I bougt an '05 Vibe from them.
