Okay, I did some digging on events at Hershey for the weekend of May 20th, and you're never going to believe what I found out.......There is a HUGE car show slated for that weekend, held in the Hershey Park parking lots. Apparently its a CLASSIC car show (which I absolutely LOVE) which means 1972 and older vehicles. 3,500 cars are scheduled to be shown.

This could be good news or bad news depending on how you look at it. I'll probably most definitely be taking advantage of the show, but this also means that the Park will probably be extra full that day. Either way, I hope the day is long and sunny, cuz it's gonna be a fun one!

you might want to reconsider that weekend. The park will be packed to the brim and parking will be horriable and traffic to boot trust me i know i live in hershey

 

Anyone wants to reconsider, no prob. But I'll definitely still be going. I love Hershey and I love classic car shows. Double the fun for me.

I will be at Hershey Park May 28th for anyone that reconsiders.

 

I thought about switching the date to that weekend ( 27-28 ) the only problem is that is Memorial Day Weekend, so the Park is still gonna be crazy busy. Anyone have any thoughts just post 'em up.

 

that would be a good weekend but sat is the kenny chesney concert and the circus will be in town!

 

I always go that weekend, every year. If a few people want to go the 28th, I may be able to get you tickests for $21.95, and a food ticket for $15. I'll have to see if there is anyleft.

**MAJOR UPDATE**

Okay, so the whole point of going to Hershey Park in May was because we thought it wouldn't be as crowded as it will be the rest of the summer. Now, because of the major classic car show slated for Hershey that same weekend, the Park is going to be extra full and crazy busy. Due to these circumstances, we've decided to push back the date of the Hershey Park Scion Meet to Saturday, June 17th. Hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone too much. We're leaning towards meeting in the Hershey Outlets parking lot (which is directly across the street from the Park) and then training over to the amusement park. This way, hopefully, we'll be able to park together. Check back to this thread for future updates. Hope to see you all there!

well.. if your going into the park... i would be down for driving around or something after the park... i know the sheetz on hershey park drive always has a bunch of tools... i was thinking we should just flood them out... the whole teem sheetz with like 15 people... HAHA

 

Hopefully the date change will bring some more folks on board.

Just an FYI:
The Hershey Park Meet is still on for Saturday, June 17th.
The rain date for the event will be Sunday, June 18th.
The only problem with that is Sunday is Father's Day.
So to solve that problem, just bring your dads along to the amusement park too. :D
