Default Looking for a Body Shop in Central Jersey

Hey guys,

I need some work done on my front bumper and front passenger side fender, and the bumper cover will probably need to be replaced. So does anyone know a place around Central Jersey that knows a tC well enough to know how to take off the old bumper and install the new one without messing up the clips or "MacGuyvering" it?

I have also heard that no paint job can beat the factory ClearCoat, but not sure if it's true. Let me know your opinions guys. I weigh heavily on quality in this case (might even consider dealer)

Autobody by Duie in Atco is really good, I'm told. You can ask "Lip" he's a member here who had his car done there.

Streamline in Little Egg Harbor or Causeway Ford Body Shop in Manahawkin NJ, might be too far away.

Ooh... i would NOT recommend Bridgewater Autobody... They're a customer of ours... we do their IT work. They're jerks, to put it nicely.

Thanks guys!!

We should start a sticky or something with this kind of information. Only problem would be less people would try new places...

I'll start looking into some of these. Thanks again for everyone's help.

i had my rear bumper fixed when my mom tapped me in the driveway and left 2 lisence plate screw holes in my rear bumper. I had mine done at Rays autobody in toms river right off of route 37. He did a real good job only had my car for 2 days and repainted the whole back bumper and now you cant even tell the bumper was repainted it looks perfect and i also looked becasue like you i was worried and there was no rigging up my bumper it was held on by all factory places and clips. The price wasnt too bad at his place either. Just giving out another suggestion.

They are one of the few dealers I know that has their own body shop. I'm wondering about the pricing. Will it be much more expensive than a body place?

Has anyone ever done body work at a dealer? How was it?

Brunswick Toyota? You mean DCH Brunswick on Route 1? Those bungholes won't even honor the 3 free scion oil changes.

*Shameless plug*

Or I guess that's a bump...not too sure what those are.

Anyways, I took my car to AutoBody by Duie since I live pretty close to Rt. 130, and the place was GREAT!! They offered a really good price, the paint is perfect, and they were very accomodating. I had to always call to see when I would get the car back so I could tell my manager if I would be in, and I actually got there AFTER closing on the last day and they said they would be there.

I need to find excuses to go there more often!!

Just an update we've had 3 scions so far, at Causeway Ford Bodyshop (where I am the parts guy for the B/S) and they've all come out perfect.
