Pistons/Valves/Bearings/Rods - Central NJ - Engine Shop?
Hello, can someone recommend a good shop in the central NJ area for getting pistons, valves, bearings, rods, and head gasket replaced in my engine? I need to know the average (high/low) install $$ for s 2005 tC without a s/c or turbo installed (so the engine is wide open to be lifted. I am thinking about starting a build this summer and need to know where to go or even where NOT to go. The parts I was looking at were:
K1 Technologies H-Beam Connecting Rods-2AZFE

Cometic Mult-Layer Steel Head Gasket-2AZFE

Clevite 77 Bearings

Valves

and pistons I am not sure if i want to swap them. I am only shooting for a 300whp setup and I want the engine to last for atleast 3 years with FI. The last thing I want to do is not swap a weak link when doing this the first time. On the other hand, I do not want to spend a ton of extra money if I am shooting for a stable 300whp and not going crazy. This is my daily driver that I can't seem to part with ... hehe. I have an 2005 engine that had 30k miles on it as of 2months ago. I would also like to turn up the redline a tad after tuning and FI - but the engine build is stage1. What is the bulletproofing labor rate and turn-a-round time?
So, comments, pricing, specs, do's/dont's - please reply. thanks.
