Default Pittsburgh Area SCCA Auto-X Meet - July 29th

Hello all, I was wondering who all wanted to goto an Auto-X event at Beaver Run on Sunday July 29th. Their web site says that it is $35 to run, and that you should have a helmet but the do have a few to share/rent.

* 8:30-9:30 - Registration
* 8:30-9:45 - Tech
* 10:00 - Driver's Meeting
* 10:15 - First Car Off

Was thinking maybe we could all Meet somewhere or at different points along the way as people catch up / head up to the site.

Their techs are really **** about stuff, they've almost not let me run for the stupidest things back in the day. You should figure out your class and have numbers already also. Be prepared to get only like 3-4 runs in, they are usually packed. If you plan on hitting any cones I'd put some painters tape on the bumper since they take the paint off your car when you hit them. But other than that it's pretty fun, just don't look at your tires afterwards lol

Last time I was there my friend let me take his porsche 911 gt3 for a few runs. I've driven a little bit of everything when I used to race up there. Hopefully they are a little more n00b friendly than they used to be. If you are just going to watch they will make you pay like $10 to get in, well at least that's what they used to do. I quit running up there after they pretty much did away with the rally-x series and the subaru dealer quit sponsoring me.
