ohhhhhhhhhh you wanted the green but decided on the orange cuz i wanted it?

why don't you just tell everyone the truth.

you couldn't find the green and didn't like the other greens, so you went with your second color choice, which was in fact my first.

you're such a loser. i don't know who you're trying to kid.

I will have to agree with Jamie, you are giving me an 80's flash back with those colors.

I'm sure once you get it finished it will look great.

I should have bought your headers and exhaust when I had the chance. I'm trying to do some up grading to see if I can boost my mileage any. The 60 mile commute everyday is starting to add up.

From what I see people are now buying oil futures as an investment like silver and gold. In the past the price was driven buy supply and demand, as you come out of Winter the supply is up and demand is low causing prices to fall. The demand is low coming off of a warm Winter compared to last year but the prices are going insane. My boss just told me that if I can't get a minimum of 10 to 15 stops a day for a truck that it has to sit until I do. I also had a farmer stop in to see me and we figure out based off of last Wednesday's price that his planting through harvesting fuel bill will be $12,000 more this year. Since then the price has risen another $0.30 a gallon.

I hope I can do some traveling this year. I have a feeling it will be the last I do for several years until something gets done about this.

I know its affecting me big time. For that Summer Kickoff Event in May, I may not be able to take my tC because I can't afford the gas to drive 4 hrs to and from and then go to Carlisle the next weekend which is 3.5 hrs. I'll have fun trying to pay my mortgage that month.

yea same here

thats why i garaged the MR2 for the summer and started ripping it apart

even though it gets like 25 mpg the yaris gets about 35

it adds up over time

and with the rising fuel costs its just going to get worst

it use to cost me about 23 bucks a week to fill the yaris now im up to 30 a week

i bet by summer it will be close to 40!

im trying to find a new job closer to the house

this 60 miles a day thing is now not worth it

I have come to realization that i'll just be poor from driving everywhere. Oh well...... I can't just sit still. Especially in the summer.

I agree. Even though it sux, i am still going to try to make as many shows and events as possible.

I especially love the fact that as gas goes up, their corporate bonuses go up. how crazy is that? They should take those million + bonuses and shove them so that they can lower the damn gas price. Thats just my 2 cents.

Hope everyone had a good st.patty's day. I am sick, so i left work earlier and got the otc nyquil stuff so i can just sleep the rest of my evening away.

Here is the part you will laugh at. My 401k at work invests into company's that are performing well so I get a better return on my investment. The share holders for Exxon/Mobile are doing the same thing, they are pushing there administrators to get more profit. Unless they have a monopoly the government can't go tell a company to lower there price. It would be up to us to not buy the product which would create a huge surplus and then lower the price.

I do agree with you, even though it sux, we are still going to try and make as many show and events as possible.

Update:

I finally got the summer wheels back on. The difference is really noticible. The car corners SO much better, I guess the suspension can make much better use of these tires than the original suspension could. In other words, the difference between the snow tires and the summer tires is much more noticable with the new suspension than it was with the stock setup. Also, it looks great...

The only problem is that it is almost too low now. The summer tires are supposed to be a little bigger in diameter than the stockers, and they certainly seem to fill out the wheel wells better. However, the front mudflaps seem to scrape much more easily with these tires...not catastrophically so, just a little. Hard, high-speed turns are enough to make them drag all the way around, especially with my fat ___ on the outside.

However, I think it looks spectacular...just the right height, not obviously lowered to someone not familiar with xBs. Overall, I think I achieved my goal of making my car look like it could have come stock the way it is, but still much better looking than a stock xB. Anyway, on with the pics.

22.2 miles with highway one way

22.2 miles without highway one way

that adds up to 44.4 miles per day, which is 20.6 miles less than what you said up above.

please, i know you're alone without me there, but we don't need to sympathize any more than necessary
