MR2oc is a great place to start
i have the n/a but i believe the turbo has something called "the hose from hell"
but blow off valve downpipe and bigger turbo would be a good start. It all depends on what he is planing on doing with it
basic stuff like wires and shiz should all be change but 3s engine is a very good engine
i know vac lines are always an issue with those cars and boost leaks but for its age its a really nice car
91+ and 92 are the same, slight changes in 93+

yea there awesome cars but there like 16 years old now so there will be these common problems
but the MR2 forum has a lot of good resources and i would tell him to download whats called the BGB (big green book)
its the toyota shop manual for the car, comes in handy
but i know a lot of peoples horns dont work, and thw guages in the 91+92 are controlled by a speed wire, the 93+ are electrical sending units so mostly when the guages dont work its that wire
the pop ups could be the motor but theres just one clip for that so just check the power
but the pop ups can be manually raised via the little ***** behind them
not many people know about that
they also have been known to freeze shut which on the stalk there is a setting for headlights, parking lights, then off without drop for the winter time.

Dunno if anyones interested but i have a set of 4 Tires and rims for sale, i live near bridgeville so if anyone wants to come and check them out let me know. The Tires still have a lot of tread on them, rims are kinda beat up, were going to be used for winter tires but i dont think my tc would do to well in the winter the way it is. Toss me some offers if interested.
