I have something in the works. I'll keep everyone posted. Hopefully within the next few days I'll have something to report back with.

Now that you mention it, I haven't heard many crickets yet this year. Anyone else notice that?

Nope, the little bastards have been getting in my garage all spring and summer...

BTW everyone....

I don't know who all takes their car where to get work done but up until now I've been taking mine into the dealer to get normal maintanence. I went to change my own oil yesterday and noticed that they have been using the wrong viscosity. Not a big deal but I was surprised since it was the dealership. They were using 5W-30 and our cars use 5W-20 or 0W-20. They used 5W-30 before the 06 models I guess...

Mobil 1 Full Syn now!

another guy in the xD section noticed the dealer was over-filling the oil as well.

I gotta learn to change my own so i can go full syn...

Dude, one of the easiest things you can do maintenance-wise. Just need a drain pan and it's a 14 mm bolt on the bottom of your oil pan. On the 2.4L motor the oil filter is right next to the pan too.

You just take the cap off,
then take off the drain plug
let the oil drain into the pan,
once the oil is drained you take off the filter
let the oil drain from there
screw the drain plug back in
wipe some fresh oil around the rubber gasket on the new filter
put the new filter on
put new oil into the cap
(however much it needs, the 2.4L needs just under 4 quarts)
Screw cap back on and run car.

you can measure the dip stick later to make sure you got enough in.

Toyota now has a TRUE full synthetic. they are putting it into all of their new cars. I swapped. 0w-20 for me now.

And I have notice improved gas mileage.

I take mine to the dealership mostly bc of my trach. No need to have an accident while I am under the car

Hey guys its been forever since Ive logged on since I totaled my tC in November. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in buying a Turbonetics turbo kit for a 2005+ tc. I bought it about a month and a half before I totaled my car (it wasnt on yet) from a friend who sold his tC. Its only been used on a vehicle for about 4,000 miles. Has the turbocharger, Spearco intercooler, manifold, wastegate, blow off valve, wiring, Unichip (still w/box), and the downpipe. You will need a new down pipe, as this one was damaged, I was going to get a new one made. You will also need the intercooler piping. Let me know if youre interested, I have pictures on my phone. Im expecting now (!!) so I need the funds. Im only looking to get around $900 for it, but its negotiable.
