yea i been killin my parents to get me an xb for some time now..and it seems this is the year for me hopefully and my plan sheets will actually go to some use.. and the first thing i have decide to do was do the engine works so i get close to my marker of 400+hp..and yes i am gona use the stock engine....negotiations went on today at the kicthen table..it seems there are some caths to the so far final deal which are:

i graduate skool this jan
i go to college
i have to purchase a wrecked or some what of a damage car (and they are not talkin about the xb they mean this as in some 400 dollar bull____)
i have to find somewhere to put it
and i have to pay for most of the things for the car

this is as the best i have gotten with the so far..hoping as the end of my skoool term comes i can twist some of these rules around..if ya gt any idea please share probably will help me more!!!

With the stock engine.
Is that even feasible? Your trying to get nearly 4 times the power that your engine produces.......
I honestly am not an engine buff so I don't know the ends and outs.
400hp is going to tough to obtain.
Does anyone know of the most powerful xB's on the road now?
I really haven't heard of many people breaking the 200hp marker but I know that's at least possible.

 

yea popalock85...i noe it's gona b nearly impoosible i know ther r xb's runnin over 250 but i wanna b seprate..i want to b the one everone heard of n the one most fears...cuz i noe it's gona take awhile but i am determine to make the marker!!!!

you will not get 400 hp out of a 1nzfe, thats about as far as Ill go. im not going to bother talking to you about it because you havent the vaguest idea what you're talkin about.

I just don't see it possible unless you plan on running 40+ lbs of boost through a turbo or something and maybe a serious NOS system.
That will just totally destroy his car quick though.

Man, seriously though....don't get a box for racing. Granted a 400hp Scion xB would be a site to see I really don't think you want to invest the $20K into the engine and power train to accomplish your goals.

My dumb ___ has spent around $7K on my stereo alone and I'm regretting that.

I could totally have $20K to drop on a CTS-V...

Now someone correct me if i'm wrong but an average student can barely get buy after paying for school related fee's. How do you think your gonna fund this "race" xb. Unless you got money coming outta your p00p hole i can't see this happening. Don't even bother saying that your getting sponsored cuz thats just going to be a lie, no reputable company wants to be involved in a project as retarded as that.

first of all... its very good that you have a goal.

secondly, if your parents are telling you they want you to buy a car around $1000 that is damaged, what makes you think they will give in and buy you a brand new xb or even a used xb that is ATLEAST 12 times more expensive?

thirdly, if your parents are paying for your college, then what makes you think they will spend over $12,000 for your transportation in college. if YOU are paying for college and you have an xb then what makes you think you will have that much money to modify your engine that much??

and lastly, this is all i have to say about your 400hp plan... WTF?!

but prove us wrong. that will be the day when i see a 400hp xb.

From my experience in many different forums, this is the way how many people talk in forums. Odd isn't it?

 

take it from someone who has dumped a lot of money into his motor setup(cars been long gone since then)...chances are you will run out of funds in the middle of the project(wasnt my issue as I didnt even get to that point before I gave up lol)...thats a serious claim to hit 400whp....300whp is a serious claim...200whp is a serious claim but reasonably attainable...I could advise you for which route to hit the 200whp mark but after that your not gonna get too much further without having unlimited funds to spend...a turbo/supercharger simply wont get you to where you wanna be.

 

go for it neo...don't listen to people who want to knock you down.

I'll admit that 400 seems improbable if not impossible (Although I'm by no means an expert), but I hope I am proven wrong. And for the record, I don't believe he was comparing the supra and the xb directly, I think he was comparing the fact that people have nearly quadrupled the hp of supras to his plan of nearly quadrupling the hp of his xb.

 

Neo24, Don't let the haters get you down. It's having a dream and making it a reality that makes this country great. Even if you don't accomplish your goal you will be ahead of many people who never try to make their dreams come true.

Now, just a word, the same advice I gave to my 19 year old son. In this world if you want people to take you seriously...you may want to try and fit in a little. I know it's cool to type in "blog speak" when posting on forums. The problem is that people will spend more time flaming you for your typing and spelling skills than appreciating the fact that you've posted your plans.

IMO our world would work better if our younger generation (i'm 46) showed a little more respect for those who came before you. You don't have to be a conformist but you may want to try and show the results of the education you've received so far. People will judge you by the words you use and how you spell them.
