Hey ScionCop, here's a question: I don't have a bat or anything like that under my seat, but I do have a 2 D-volt battery Mag light I keep between the seats. Not concealed, I mean, sometimes it gets squished down between the center console and the drivers seat (this was in my old jeep, haven't had my tC long enough to put all my old crap in it). Keep it up there to use it, to ILLUMINATE things, but could imagine it would be just as good as a billy club, sawed off baseball bat, etc, and it's partially the reason I keep it up there instead of a $.99 2 AA plastic thingy. Can a flashlight be thought of as a "weapon"? Have zero intention of ever using it that way, but don't want to get busted in my speedy little tC.

thanks!!

Dante.....

Just make sure that you never say "It's for protection" or articulate it as a weapon in any way. If anybody asks you about it just tell them it's just for lighting use Ex. Opening your garage, at night. You'll be alright.

<quickly washes dried blood off of flashlight>

Thanks, didn't think it'd be a problem, but those mag-lites can be pretty beefy.

Jeff......

Try taking out the mini-mattress and lava lamp out of the back of your box. Atleast for the first date. You might not scare them so much. Wait till atleast a month before you brake out the pink dice too.

Jeff don't care. He'll show up to his dates house with a brown paper bag containing a bottle of tequila, condoms, Barry White CD, and a porno tape.

"What do you mean where we going?" , "You parents home?"

Eddie,
A few more questions about the fake cop car thing. Can I have one of those metal ram things (not sure what you call them), on the front of the car? I know that many pickups have metal cage type things on the front, but the only cars I see with them are police cars.

Also, you said previously "If you flash the red and blues, you're toast". If I had white strobe lights mounted in headlights, taillights, backup lights, etc. that flashed alternately, that would be just as illegal, right?

When it says that the strobe lights are for "Offroad or Show Use Only", how far offroad do you have to be? Does show use mean you have to be at a car show, or can I show my friends my lights in their driveway? Thanks.

The push bumpers are not illegal as far as I know. Those push bumpers are stroger than most SUV type designer push bars.

The strobe lights must be yellow / and you still need a permit for those. White designer flashers are illegal for normal driving conditions.

Off road basically means dirt trails. There is no specification as to how far it has to be from a state road.

For show means that your car is on display. Driveways are private property and you can have a disco ball in your car if you want.

well...got my first speeding ticket tonight.............i was only going 88.258mph too, which i dont think is right....how accurate are those measurement devices...he timed me..... .038@1.55 he also threathened that he could take my liscense for 3 months....i thought that was if you DOUBLE the speed limit...i dont know...anyways he just gave me a 105 dollar ticket.....the worst part is that i went to walmart hoping that they sold shinkwrap tubing, no luck......so i went to walmart just to get a 105 dollar ticket....anyways, i guess i should either fix my crappy radar detector, or buy a nice new valentine 1 (only 299.99 dollars)

so two questions:
how accurate are those devices....
and
Can my liscense really be taken? btw it was a 50mph zone....

i might be selling my in-car computer setup so the wifey donsn't get ____ed....i also have 3 old parking tickets (i got the citations int he mail a few weeks ago) now i owe 65 dollars a ticket.......3 tickets.....they even gave me 2 tickets in one day....can they do that? i didn't remove the other one, i didn't even go to my car...there was two tickets there....

thanks

Laws differ from state to state. In Ct the DMV actually suspends your license. We used to take the license but are no longer required too. Some one had a case that since the Police was taking his only source of identification (one that he payed for) then the state was obligated to provide him with a state identification card to replace his license. He won!! DMV then said that Police areno longer required to take licenses. It wouldve cost millions to the state to replace all the license seized by law enforcement.

As such fines and limits differ too. In Ct you wouldve gotten a Summons for Reckless driving for the speed that you were going.

Parking meter maids are mentally insane. They do what ever they want because they dont get summoned to court.

Really? The police took my license recently (in addition to suspending it). Now I have no way to cash my own checks at my own bank. I have to go and get a state ID. Is there a link where I can get more information on that case? That would set a nice precedent for me to either get my license back, or get a free ID. Also, I thought it was illegal for anyone over the age of 18 to be in public without any identification?

oh i forgot to mention, the police officer was being a complete dick, he was talking ____ on my box too....

"Besides, At that speed, if you hit the smallest rock this thing will flip over"

wtf? My average speed is around 100 (i love drivin fast, im glad i dont have an actual fast car...lol)

its low to the ground, and kinda wide for its size......that ____ed me off....

when he first pulled me over he was like"boy these things can go fast" that already ____ed me off, i was like "yea, i guess so." then i decied to be cool, so i dont get assested.....

also, i got a crack in my windshield this morning...wtf.....i think some"thing" is trying to tell me not to drive to fast, since i was goin 110 when this happened (i was running late for a funeral)

It was a State ruling. So it may not affect you since your in New Orleans.

As far as having and I.D. This is still a free country. You don't have to have an I.D. to walk around public areas.

I had a Cop test me one time. I didn't tell him I was a Cop. I wanted to see how he handled me. The Cop walked up on me as I was walking down a sidewalk late at night. The Cop goes "Hey got some I.D. ?" I'm thinking-(Yea Real smooth operater)-

You see a Vet Cop knows a civilians legal rights and should try to simulate that he has none but this cat was young trying to flex his Uniform.

I said "No, and if I did I don't think I would show it to you anyways" The young buck said "Well your going to have to show me some I.D." I looked at him and said "I don't think so"

The Cop tries to block my walking path. I told him. Sir! You know that I'm walking this way and you purposley blocked my path. I'm not stopping for you and if you don't move out of my way I take it that your detaining me for some purpose. Now you either get out of my way or detain me. I will start walking now. Make your decision.

The dude stood there untill I walked up to him. I didn't stop and he then moved out of my way. The Cop still tried to talk to me. I ignored him and kept walking.

You see a experienced Cop would've gone up to me and said "Hello" and maybe start some small talk and not try to show that he's in charge. Then maybe if he felt a little "itch" ask for some I.D. showing no sign of mandate. I can still say No but maybe I will show the I.D. since the Cop showed some respect.
