Umass MotorSports Club Car Show

Registration untill 1:00 pm

$10 entrance fee.

Here is the Detailed info

The UMass Motorsport Club would like to invite you to our annual car show, on Saturday, May 12th, 2007.

Summary:

This event is our own version of an amazing car show. It will be a day filled with incredible cars, a chance to show off your ride, loads of opportunities to win trophies (with or without a ride), and view some of the more rediculous events in motorsports. You'll also have a chance to meet club members and talk to some of the premier gearheads on campus and in the surrounding area. Parking is every other space and everything on wheels is eligible for awards (If you bring a tank or hovercraft we'll make exceptions). We'll also be bringing in as many vendors as possible ranging from food to performance parts and racing shops. Read on for specifics.

Location:
Umass Amherst Campus, Yellow Lot 11. (See directions below)

Hours:
The parking lot and registration will open at 9:00AM. Lot capacity is 800+.
Events will occur between 11:30 and 2:00
Registration closes at 1:00pm
Trophies by 4:00pm

For Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium (Parking Lot 11 Next to Stadium): From the North: Route 91 South to Exit 25 - At the end of the ramp turn left and follow the road to the intersection - turn right onto Routes 5 & 10 South - go 1 mile, then left onto 116 South, then eight miles to UMass exit - Left at the end of the ramp onto Massachusetts Avenue. Take a right at the first set of lights (usually blinking yellow) and proceed approximately one-quarter mile. Signs or the campus map will direct you to lot 11.
From the South: Route 91 North to Exit 19 (Northampton/Amherst) - Right onto Route 9 and go approximately five miles, just past the Amherst-Hadley town line. Take a left at the lights (just after the Stop and Shop on the left-hand side) onto University Drive. Go through one set of lights and signs or the campus map will direct you to lot 11.
From the East: Mass Pike (Route 90) West to Exit 4 (West Springfield) onto Route 91 North to Exit 19 (Northampton/Amherst) - Right onto Route 9 and go approximately five miles, just past the Amherst-Hadley town line. Take a left at the lights (just after the Stop and Shop on the left-hand side) onto University Drive. Go through one set of lights and signs or the campus map will direct you to lot 11.
From the West: Mass Pike (Route 90) East to Exit 4 (West Springfield) onto Route 91 North to Exit 19 (Northampton/Amherst) - Right onto Route 9 and go approximately five miles, just past the Amherst-Hadley town line. Parking in Groups:
If you have a group of 5 or more participating vehicles, you may preregister by emailing sswavely@student.umass.edu. State your club name, the number of participants, and one member’s contact information. (phone number preferred.)
Trophies: There will be around 33 categories
Awards include: Best in Show, Best Street Rod, Best Import, Domestic, Euro, Exotic, Honda/Acura, Toyota, Subaru, Nissan & Other, Ford, Chevy, Dodge & Other, BMW, VW/Audi & Other, Offroad Truck, Lowrider Truck, Sleeper Award, Club Participation Award, and Best Club Award.
Notes: We're in talks with Redbull to have a drift demonstration from their 550hp Solstice. Also events in the works include an exhaust/audio sound-off, pizza eating contest, and a 4x4 suspension testing ramp. Best Club Participation Award goes to the club with the most participating members. Best Club will be awarded by UMass Motorsport. Judging will be ballot based and will begin at 1:00pm. Portapotties are with the show perimeter. Food vendors will be present. Forward any questions to sswavely@student.umass.edu

The roll in is between 9-11 am so we would want to be there as early as possible. Im thinking we should meet at clair at 8am. I know this is early but in order for us to all be together the earlier would be better. And i have confirmed with David and Tam that this is the next meet. Lets start a roll call......
