Who'da thunk it?! I thought I wuz nermal...

Here ya go Joe, mark your Calendar, you should try to make one of the Saturday dates, now you can plan ahead!:

September Movie Nights Thu 17th and Sat 19th
October Movie Nights Thu 8th and Sat 10th
November Movie Nights Thu 5th and Sat 7th
December Movie Nights Thu 10th and Sat 12th

SEPTEMBER MOVIE INFORMATION:
Dates: Thur Sep 17 and Sat 19, 2009 7:00 pm arrival, 7:30 pm movie start
Movie: "State of Play" starring Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck
BLU RAY, 2009, 128 min. PG-13, Political Muder/Mystery/Thriller.

Visit www.freytheater.com for all updated movie night info.

Here are the new theater upgrades I have recently added:

- Upgraded the projector to a new 1080p High-Definition Optoma projector and added a new Oppo Blu Ray player, so the theater is now Fully HD capable... The September movie will be shown on Blu Ray for an even sharper image and better theater viewing experience...

- Mounted three powerful Clark transducer units, a.k.a "Butt Shakers", to the underside frame of all three sofa seats, so the entire sofa really ROCKS with every explosion, crash, gunshot, or deep bass in the movie sountrack. The effect is awesome, you feel like your actually IN the movie now...

- Added a 450w Crown amplifier to drive the three transducers, so now my audio system has almost 4,000 watts of power...

- Lastly, I posted up a bunch of new theater photos here, including pics of the butt shakers:

http://www.hometheaterforum.com/foru...er-every-month

So uh, is THAT enough to peak your interest in coming sometime soon, Joe??

I used to run something similar to the Clark Transducers you have, in my early years of car audio. They were called Aura Bass Shakers.

Yeah Jim, I remember those days! The Auras are still around, although the Clarks I have are 10 times as powerful - the new Aura PRO Bass Shaker generates a maximum 30 pounds of force, the original Aura Bass Shaker was under 20 pounds. Compare those to a whopping 220 pounds each for the Clarks I put in my sofa... and actually, the ones I bought are Clark's least powerful model - their strongest transducer has 930 pounds of force(!), but it costs over $400... that would just be insane in a sofa!

thats awesome Troy! Whats the power requirements on the Clarks though? The Aura's i have only take 50rms@4ohm. they were made for the car. I couldnt imagine putting something with the force of the clarks in a car.

The Clarks I have are rated at 100 watts rms, 350w max. I have a small Crown Pro-Audio amplifier running in bridged-mono that will drive the three 4 ohm transducers all in series, 425 watts at 12 ohms, so that's 175 watts for each one... put that all into a car, lol!

Bobby and Kurt - I went out today and picked up that brand new CBR1000rr. Had to go all the way to state college. Ill be going to Cecil track night, but will be taking it easy.

Ill have pix up tomorrow, but I got the honda in silver/black.

My personal race team now consists of the following :

Toyota Yaris 4 door sedan
Scion tC supercharged (I am keeping it s/c and not going with the rado turbo kit as discussed earlier w/ you guys)
Honda RC51 vtwin supersport (modded to the 9's)
Honda CBR1000RR inline4 supersport (stock w/ honda carbon package!)
plus... there is something else in the works ;)
