Hey Guys, I might be interested in tagging along, if perhaps a few others would be going along as well - Since you two are going to be busy racing, or getting prepped for racing, I'd probably be a little bored by myself not knowing anyone...

Supposed to be Sunny, 90+ degrees and very humid, everyone will be Bakin' on the tarmac, tha's fo'sure! That's one thing I'm not really looking forward to - Hate that dang humidity!

^^ no, you have to join us we wont be racing all day, I will prolly do 6-8 runs max, and I'd rather get them done in the morning - after that, it gets hard to improve your time.

Honesly, I look forward to seeing all the cars, meeting new people, music, food and prizes!

you have to come cylon!

Well, ok, twist my arm, why don't you!

C'mon, any one else wanna go along?

I'll do my best to make it, I still can't say for sure 100%, but if for some reason I CAN'T make it, I'll post on here Saturday night to let you know, so you're not sitting there Sunday morning wondering where I am... I'm trying to remember where the Denny's is exactly - it's right before the 83 bridge, on the west-bound side of 30, isn't it?

Hmmm... Two hopped-up tC's and a li'l xD - better put me in the middle so I don't get lost in the dust! Do you guys use FRS walkies or anything to chat with on the trip? If so, I don't have any, yet... My Ham radio in the car will pick up the FRS freqs, but it probably won't transmit on them.

Since this will be my first ever Scion event trip, what does everyone normally take along for supplies - I'm a little short on cash, so I'd probably pack some of my own sandwiches and beverages (adult beverages?) and definitely sunscreen...! any other suggestions?

Hi April: It's the Show of Champions down in Crofton, MD (the Laurel/Bowie area). on Sunday, Supposed to be a huge Scion meet, and there's racing on the track, too. Here's a thread about it:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=226212

I'm going to try to make it, I've been wanting to meet other Scion folks, since I'm still just a noob at this, so why not go to a big one!

Bring a digital camera if you have one too!

I am also strapped for cash. I just bought a yaris today (finally came in after 6 weeks, but I have a 5 speed no power options, just like i wanted) so I will be brining a small cooler of food and healthy snacks just incase ;)

I dont have a walkie talkie, but will be able to give everyone my cell # that wants it. I also will have mapquest directions printed, and I have a GPS dvd nav system in the tC. We are good to go!

The dennys directions you sent to me via PM are correct. I hope you can join us Cy!

I have a canopy too, but it's not a free-standing one, it's one of those 12x12 with the 5 poles and the ropes and stakes... That would be OK if we are parked in grass, but if we're on asphalt, can't use it. Of couse, it will probably be hot enough on Sunday that I could drive the stakes right down though the blacktop, LOL! I suppose we WILL be on asphalt?...

A lawnchair would also be a good idea, and I can't forget to bring a good selection of fine cigars to puff on!

Hey, I had a lot of fun - Thanks to Al for twisting my arm and talking me into going along with him and Ed and Amy - who'd a thunk I'd win anything with an xD, Haha! I think it's pretty awesome that all three of our cars won medals there - two 1sts and a 2nd - great showing for the York/Lancaster area! And it was nice to meet all of you who were there yesterday - Now I can connect some faces to usernames on here!

Now, just so no one finds out I won 1st place out of a field of only two xD's... Shhh, don't anyone say anything, I wanna bask in my glory for a little while, haha... aw, Dang it...!!

At least 100 cars were at the show. It was very nice but so very very hot. I got burned to a crisp. (where was the scion sun tan lotion when you needed it)
