Depends if they are dual or single voice coils... single and you should get an amp stable at 1ohm; dual and you should get an amp stable at 2ohm. Easiest solution without knowing this info is to get a JL amp or equivalent that puts out the same amount of power no matter the subwoofer resistance.

ive been lookin around for amps and sum websites say if i wire two 2 ohm svc subwoofers i get .5 ohms..,. if thats rite would that b safe to go with a 1 ohm amp? i found a sundown amp that says 1000 watts rms at 1 ohm ..heres the link : http://www.sundownaudio.com/1000d.html would that work? or would it b better to sell these and get the subs at 4 ohms each? any other suggestions? im tired of my old system and want an upgrade badlyy

does that mean if i wire it that way i can run it with a 4 ohm stable amp or am i reading it wrong??
