i finally got around to doing it!! now just for the rears..




i spent an entire day upgrading stuff in my car yesterday. installed alpine type r components in the front and type s coaxial in the back connected to an alpine v-power f300 4-channel with crossover. upgraded to an alpine cda-9884 headunit from my pioneer P6000UB. so now i have a complete alpine sound system. now to get a box done. the one i have now is the generic best buy box which is wayyy to big for the trunk. i know i haven't been around lately, but i'll see you guys soon!

oh yeah.. and i have to repaint my vents to red.. they're still blue. hahaha, haven't gotten around to doing that yet

Yes, two 2ohm subs wired in series = 4ohm load. And a 4ohm stable amp is very common and can be had for cheap. Just try to get a Class D amp as it's more efficient (runs cooler) and doesn't have a large power loss due to heat. That being said, try to avoid running multiple channel amps for subwoofers. They are really not meant to power subs.

Side note, there are some amps that can do a 1ohm stable but are more expensive since it costs more to keep that type of amp from overheating.

 

alrite that helped a lot thanks...now instead of throwin down 400+ for a 1 ohm stable amp ill look around for sum class d amps so i can run them at 4 ohms.. i have em on a 2 channel amp rite now(woops) but ill change it soon

 

looks good jesse. im going alpine for my system soon too, just not sure about headunit. getting two 12" type r's, speakers, amps and all by alpine and either keeping my eclipse headunit or getting one of the new pioneer ones that just came out cuz theyre sick... been messing around with them at work whenever its not busy and i was impressed

For that exhaust - his name is Nate, and I met him at the RI meet on Thursday - good kid, you can trust him. Several of the RI peeps were talking about maybe going to your install meet, not sure if he was or not - pm him. That way you could even get the exhaust delivered.
I believe Steve (unexpectederror) from the RI team also has a TRD exhaust he wants to sell.

yea if yuou can find it for under $400 its not good on gains but its a baller intake (highest quality and great brand name)

yeah there were rumors of the RI guys coming to the last one i had at my place for the install meet. But they never showed up. The parents are leaving on there boat for the weekend so they wont b around :D woooooooot

Im gunna pm a few people about exhaust. Lisa is just looking for alittle tone so TRD i think is good enough
