Default $240 to install coilovers?

Is $240 a good price for installation for a set of coilovers? They quoted me that price at Motorsports Techniques in Hayward.

edit: Auto Innovations in Milpitas quoted me $340 with alignment.

damn $240... wow!. if ur willing to make the trip to sac SacramentoMotoringAaccessories did my spring install for like $140. coilovers should be easier since they basically swap out the oem unit and stick in the coilover unit. might even be cheaper than what i was charged. then u can go down the street to
autobahn performance and get the alignment for $70. thats $30 bucks less than what ur getting charged for jus the coilover install. looks like u'll be over 3 bills wif alignment if u have that shop ur talkin bout do it. give SMA a call (916) 424-4783 for pricing. good luck.

240.00 is actually not that bad becuase you are going to want some time to adjust those and that takes up rack time. After the install you will want to go for a test drive and adjust it after. Also what kind of coilovers? Tein basics? SS? the basics use the stock top mounts and the SS have their own. there are a lot of varilables here for time.

I have H&R coilovers and they said it'll take about 4 hours to install. I might do the alignment there too today so hopefully I can negotiate the price a bit. Sacramento sounds tempting, but I've waited all week for this and this is the only shop that I found that has time to do it today. I won't have time next week because of work and moms car will be in the shop, so I'll be her ride. Thanks for the responses!

4 hours at $60 bucks an hour is cheap. Hope everything works out. Post pics when they are done.
