Default Another Accident Thread

So today I got my first accident in the tC (not at fault). I was parked at a gas station. U-Haul pulls to the right of me and decides to make a left. He then swipes the passenger front of my car (headlight, fender, and bumper). He keeps going as I run in front of his van to stop him. Of course, he denies hitting my car because he "did not feel anything". No sh*t he's in a U-haul! Well, police car rolled by and he instructed us on information to exchange. He can't do write a report because it's on private property (darn). Oh yeah, I took pictures as well. Too bad people witnessed it but left the scene.

Long story short, I need a reputable place in the east side San Jose area that'll fix the scratches (pretty deep). I'm most likely not paying a cent because I'm not at fault. Thinking of going to the dealership. Any suggestions?

I will post pictures tomorrow afternoon as it's pretty dark outside already.
Thanks guys.

find the most expensive body shop, give that estimate to the insurance company, and take it to a cheaper body shop, which still does good work.

If it makes you feel any better, i wrecked mine too.

10G's in damages. My insurance decided to repair it, removing the engine and all kinds of other ____ just to fix the damages.

i was in the middle turning lane making a left and some dumb kid decided to be in a hurry and get onto oncoming traffic side to try to pass me up (why he didnt go to the right of me? i keep asking the same question?) when i looked over again he was already about to hit my car from the left, i was already in the middle of my turn. I braked hard to try to prevent him from hitting me but it was too late. It looks like a head on collision or i rear ended someone, but thats not the case. If you see on the driver side fender, thats where the front of his car hit me and it managed to tear up the whole front end. He just hit the front fender right about where the light is at.

Actually, they are 17x8 Rota Boost in gold. They are supposed to be replicas of the Advan RGII's. Just 75% cheaper in price. I wish i could afford advans though.

I had Rota Circuit 8's (replicas of mugen mf on a 91 honda crx i owned and i loved them. Then of course with my luck, someone stole my car and stripped it.

But i went Rota again on my tC. Good company.

Might I recomend having the Good people at Angel body and Paint fix up your car. They are located here in Milpitas and have worked on front wrecked tCs before. Call them up for some towing and insurance advise:

Gabe,

You the poster child for Angel's now? LOL Come on, he already said it was in the shop, he's not like jamie who is still looking for one.

Either way.. damn darlin, I hope it gets back to "normal" once they're done. I know what a bad accident is like. Just hope you aren't hurt!!

Not a posterchild, more of a word spreader guy. :D

Yes, good to hear that you were not hurt in the accident.

Update: Called the insurance (21st Century) and they gave me 3 recommended body shops. I knew one of them, "Panamerican Bodyshop" Next to Costco.

I don't really feel like taking pictures of the damagae, not worth it. It's just a bunch of scratches like trading paint with someone else. It's still driveble in every way. Only cosmetic. But still. I don't know, I just want it back to normal.
