Default The buddy system works!!

Last night Bill-USDMBB and I were driving back from socal when Bill's driver side front tire destroyed itself coming down the grapevine. I saw tons of smoke in my rear mirrors and we both moved to the right hand lane as fast as we could. With big rigs coming down right next to us, we were able to move safely to the E-Lane. I pulled out my 1ton jack, bill grapped the spare tire donut and we were moving fast. Not a great spot to break down. Bill did not have his spare tire donut so I gave him mine. Luckly he did not damage his wheels, but his tire was toast. We were back on the road in no time smelling like burnt rubber but happy this was not worse than what it was.

The buddy system works!!

how come the rear tire and rim wasn't taken off and mounted up front?

then the front tires would wear evenly and you would have better control of the car, instead of the car being lopsided and pulling to one side.

Bill had just purchased some J-Line wheels, so the offset was not for the front at all. He would have been scraping like crazy since he has a 2inch drop. it wasn't too much of a hassle when he was driving, he got used to the donut in no time. :D

Bill, did you catch up on your sleep? I took a nap on my muffler books yesterday.
