Ok guys, I am waiting for my trd supercharger to arrive, and I know a lot of people here wanna save some money for dealer installation. Let's here it guys. Please keep the location in california only.

 

cheaper is not better, find a dealership that has installed a few so you know they have a competant technician that can do it.

even though it will be covered by warranty, a supercharged tc is no fun when it is always being fixed at the dealership.

Well it all depends on where you live in CA. In So-Cal, Hamer Toyota did mine for $450. They have done many S/C including mine....

 

Just got a quote from one of the dealers, Bill Wright Toyota, in Bakersfield. They said 8 hours and $700. Don't know how much experienced are they though.

Well mine wasnt much better, but it was RIGHT after the S/C came out. It was $800, it took 12 hours, but that was because it was a tech that was experienced with TRD, that went over the work a few times to be sure everything was perfect.

 

Longo in El Monte just did mine this weekend for $1850 parts ('06 TC) + $500 labor. They have an ad in sponsored sales. Took two days and but I had them put in a bunch of other things at the same time (springs, sway, exhaust). Vroom.

 

This is actually what I'm looking for. Thanks for the information. I did set up an appointment with a car dealer in my area. The supercharger will be installed on Monday.

Knowing what I know now I personally would not go through with it again. The supercharger was a poor design and had major reliability issues. I went through 5 of them and a new engine! I finally traded the car in last year after they fixed an oil leak coming from it. Buyer beware.
