I dunno if thats a good idea, "We support the current and future licensing fee structure"....we support future fees. Congrats! You eliminate front plate requirements but dont complain when you pay any DMV fees especially as the cost rises, because "we support future licensing fees". Sorry but im all for front plates.Someone please explain to me the great loss due to aerodynamics against your mods that raise HP and drastically reduce MPG.

uhhhh bro it has nothing to do with mpg or hp. you try spending a grand on a body kit only to have to drill holes in it to mount a plate that never gets looked at.

Yellow Sub. Try spending six grand on a body kit and drill holes, cuz thats what I did. But you have an xB so you dont need to drill holes. There is aftermarket brackets to mount your plate to your grill. Then for show you just un bolt it. And im sure your wondering about my 6 grand body kit....LJ Garcia Widebody xA kit. $1500 for the kit, and after custom molding and shaving the handles it went over 6K easy. And yes it has to do with MPG vs HP because thats what the petition says. Im sure im one of the few who doesnt care about the plates but sorry, thats just what I feel. My newer car has front plate, no tint, all CARB exempt parts, yet will be highly modded and CA legal. We chose to live here and obey the laws, and if we want to change them we can do things like this. Im more against the reasoning this petition uses than the lack of plates.

Can't get rid of front plates, it's how they make money using red light cameras.

They need a picture of the front of the car with license plate visible to prove in a court of law that it's you driving the said car. If they had only the picture of the rear and the front with no plate. You can argue...and possibly win and that will never be allowed.

you'll lose the front plate argument, just put a plate on and move on with life. It's in the law book...you can't fight it

No politician really pays attention to online petitions or even emails. A handwritten letter is usually best.

If you really want to get a politician on your side for a political issue, you've got to convince that person (or at least their staffers) that you have a legitimate winnable issue that is supported by a large enough segment of VOTERS in that politician's electorate.

If you just show up as a single person, they might pay you lip service. If you show up as group, calmly and rationally argue your position with evidence, then the politician is more likely to pay attention. Also, during an election, you would then be expected to come out and support that politician with votes or campaigning. It's a lot of work to really change a law and it mostly can't be done online.

I'm sorry to say it but, the choise was yours to get that kit. the law requires front plates.

isn't freedom of choise a grand thing?

I have gotten two tickets for no plate. I am tired of the hastle and the expence. I put my plates on. It is the law and i don't care enough about this topic to try to change things. I am going to waste my mental energy on something a little more important than front plates. If you want to worry about something and sign a petition, I can think of way more nobel things. the vanity of a front plate isn't one of them.

but, that is just me. I am probably full of ****.

uhh, no i won't i'm doing writen declaration on a bigass ticket i got for being in the carpool lane and the cop thought i was some ricer guy also so he got me for tinted windows and no front plate. Almost all cops never reply to written declaration because they are not paid for it like they are when they goto court. So anyways since this is a bundle ticket as long as the cop does not reply i will be dismissed of everything. Pwned

What if the cop replies?

I tried this and I had this happen to me because I read online that cops usually don't reply...but they do and if they do you better have all your stuff together (get his notes, goto the chp office get his history, and your proof of innocence, etc)

Basically weither or not the cop replied on my ticket, it was still illegal and I'm pretty sure the judge wouldn't have dismissed it anyway on the fact that it's still illegal.

and you'll be very suprised at how accurate and long CHP notes are (hence why i couldn't get dismissed anyway).

And think about what happens if you lose. You're basically ____ing off an officer and a judge by thinking you're slick and trying to get around the system.

They will stick you with the largest fine they can and make you go into court anyway to get it reduced. They don't offer much leniency if you try to pull BS on them.

Most likely you'll end up getting a huge fine on your carpool violation and fix it's on your tints and plate.

and if you do get away with no front plate and tinted fronts, you'll be busted again for it for some BS reason. It gets annoying very quick.

just put a plate on and remove your tints.
