If anyone is heading through Manteca, on hwy 120 West, watch out for a person standing on the side of the road.

I was headed back to SJ from Modesto around 2:30am. I was on 120 and noticed a person standing on the side of the road. There was no car. I slowed down because I thought he might jump out on to the freeway. Instead, he did something else. As I came up to him, he reached back and threw something at my xB. Not sure what it was, but the initial impact was on the bumper. It hit hard enough to pop the fog light covers off. After it hit my bumper, it destroyed my grill. It was only held on w/ one clip. What sucks is that the tab from the passenger side headlight, that held a clip for the grill, busted off.

The guy just scattered after that. All I could do is call CHP to advise them.

So if you see someone in the area that I mentioned, late at night, he aint no hitch hiker. LOL. :D
