Default Hood Install in South Bay

Can anyone suggest a reputable shop to have a CF hood installed in the South Bay?

Somewhere close to Milpitas or San Jose would be best.

Its taking the heat shield off that's the problem - the plugs that hold it up are impossible to remove without breaking them off. And I also need to drill holes into the CF hood, so I need to get it done at a shop.

nah, just a dremmel tool. and yeah I dunno about the heat shield. Just bring it with u wed to the meet at the Wingstop off coleman in San Jose.

You'll have plenty of people who'll probable be happy to help install it.

are you trying to transfer the heat shield from your OEM to the CF hood?

Actually, I'm trying to reuse the plugs that hold up the OEM heat shield and transfer them to the CF hood. I'm buying a new shield (actually going to custom fit one using heat resistant padding) so I'm not using the stock one.

The underside of the CF hood is molded almost exactly like the OEM one, but there aren't any holes for those plugs, so I need to get them drilled. Since I don't have the right tools, I need a shop to do it.

Is the underside of your hood - the support structure for the carbon fiber also carbon fiber? or is it a solid ABS material?

No, the underside is made of fiberglass/ABS, not CF. I'm worried that if I don't protect it, the heat from the engine bay will either warp or discolor the hood over time.

Either way, I still need a shop cause I can't remove the plugs that hold the stock shield to the hood without breaking them. I need to get to the washer nozzles and to do that, you need to take the shield off...

i used a nice small flathead screwdriver to push the inner plastic tabby parts of them in and worked them out.
the tool can be bought at any auto hardware store place for a pretty cheap price too.

also, me and etli will work for food..
(caution.. we eat alot.. lol)
