Battey Issue
I put a new battery in my 2005 Scion tC and it will not turn over. The headlights work, the dome light works but thats about it. When you turn the key the needles in the dash do everything like its trying to turn over but nothing. the doors don't lock the windows don't roll down and the stereo does not work. It has to be getting power somewhere.... The only thing I think might have happened is that I fired the circuit when i touched the wrong terminal to the wrong part of the battery just for a second? Any help would be great. Thanks guys!
Yeah, that was the fist thing i did this morning. tested every fuses with a test light and pulled each just for good measure. Nothing was pulled from the ground or alternator. The funny thing is that the dome lights and headlights work. and same when i lock the dorrs the alarm system is activated!!!!
Edit to my post:
After getting a hold of my brother who is a Ford mechanic, he told me sometimes the problem is after connecting it wrong is frying the security system. because it is connected to the ignition. Anyone have any thoughts of that or experience?
