Default My car was smacked by a cabbie, need advice!

So some dumb cabby slapped my car with his mirror and left paint damage on the mirror (thank goodness it is a folding type, otherwise I wouldn't have a mirror at all now!) and on the rear quarter panel. The mirror isn't too bad, but the quarter panel has a black paint scrape over a foot long!

The driver reluctantly gave me his info and I'm making a claim with the self-insured cab company. What should I expect from a cab company's insurance division? Anyone else had to deal with this?

Also, where should I bring the car for repairs if they give me the option to shop it around? I've had good experience with F. Lofrano in San Francisco but would like to know if there are other better/high end body shops to get the work done. Would it be better to bring it to a Toyota dealership due to the rarity of xB parts?

Thanks!!

First you can take the car where ever you want.

I would go get esitmates now so once they do get back to you, you have somthing to show them. It will speed the process up

And xb parts are not rare... you can take it anywhere!

I was under the impression that parts were scarce at present time....but hopefully I don't need any new parts, juts some new paint. Thanks for the advice!
