the tow guys said they will just put some crappy aftermarket stuff so they will make money..

my radiator is busted and right now its undrivable.. car wont start..

i visited my car 20mins ago...

and can someone tell me how does this totalling car works? i only had this car for 4months

dont take it to capitol toyota. i am lazy so i had them do my tire rotation and they fuked up all of my rims and chipped the sides of each lug area. looks like the handy job of a careless person and an impact wrench

probably why... .. i hate those movies for that very reason. it makes stupid people become more stupid. hope insurance rapes that kid for the next few years.... it'll teach him a lesson.

keep it on the track.

and btw.. sorry to hear about everything man.. hopefully everything gets settled soon. i've had to deal with a loss too myself back then. it was the worst experience of my life.

by law you can take it to any body shop, its against the law for an insurance company to tell you where to take your car......
who is ther insurance?
take it to the best body shop you can find, take it to the dealer if you want, but you can also always refuse the work if its shotty, and you can ask to see the parts before they install it......
also if they total the car, it means the total amount of the repairs exceed the value of the car, it depends on the insurance company, some companies will total your car for things another may not......one thing you can do is talk to your insurnace company and tell them what is going on, if you have a good company they may actually deal with the person who hit you, they dont want to insure a car that has substandard work done to it.

good luck

yea dude they did teh same to me... if anything do u think that they can fix it? repair it since they did teh damage, your know how when they take your car their suppose to check whats wrong with it.. show it to them and they might fix it after your next maint. check, but yea capitol is ok, but i think most mechanics would do this in every dealer, i wouldnt trust the jeep/chrysler thing, just go with someone you think you would trust

Interesting.. Enterprise gave you a car at 16?? I'm in the same position you are. Except that I have an xB, and they started working on it even though it should have been declared totaled from the start. I'm 17, and no rental car company in northern Arkansas would give me a rental because i wasn't 21.

I'm sorry about you accident, and sadly it just takes a hell of a-lot of time for this stuff to work out. It's been two months since my accident, and its still going to be a while until I get out of my dads Elantra..

I would take it to a Toyota collision center.. Esp if your car isn't declared totaled. But it seems like Capitol is getting bad reviews. Maybe find another one in your area

I'm not sure, I'm over here in Arkansas. I just said that based off of the posts above.. Bottom line, don't take it to Jeep.

I am just jumping in on the tail-end of this conversation. But i was rear ended in my first Tc after only having it 2 months- well after letting my insurance co-progressive bring it to the wrong "body and 2 times sent back and then me bringing it to a scion dealership(Camelback Scion-AZ) I finally 4 months later got it fixed right- but lets just say that I should of brought it there in the first place- so my advice would be to bring it to a Scion place. If you would like any more details let me know.

ok from chatting will squallLheart i just realize there was no cops and we didnt file any report or anything.. basicly its just a pack and tow after the incident.. its a parking building and right now its prolly clear and cleaned.. so there was no write up or anything....... and no report that went to DMV..

so what kind of problem im getting involved in?

i got his claim number and my car is upped for fixing..

Read this: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/forms/sr/sr1.htm

Sorry your tC got hurt - hopefully it will all be taken care of, either by having it repaired very well or by them replacing it.

If you have questions on incident reports or whatever, your insurance should be able to help/explain.

If it were mine I'd either take it to a Toyota/Scion dealer's shop or to an independent shop with a good reputation.

Don't accept anything if it's not done right.

GOOD LUCK!

My tC got a some dents a while back from some hail damage. Well I called my insurance and they were paying for it. They sent me to a cheverolet dealership, but at the chevy dealer all they did was give me a quote to what the damage would cost to get fixed. I didn't actually have to get it fixed there. After that I was free to take it where ever I wanted. That's probably what they are going to do with you at "Jeep".

dude... ok yeah it sucks that you got hit. i got rear ended and really i wanted to cry but i mean i thoguht about it and i at least was ok (kind of... messed up my back)

as for the totalling crap... dude you dont want a 07... the 05-06 were probably the best tC so far IMO because of what you can do with them. they modded the engine bay so the companines that made the mods need to rethink how theyre going to do that... which is a good what 3-4 months away. i say just get it repaired from a good shop with parts that are from scion (if you need to look up part numbers its online or go down to dave at stevens creek). really just repair the car and it should be fine. if theres frame damage then go from there... even if there is you can still repair it

I'm sorry to hear about the accident and that no one got hurt. You can take it to any place you want to get quotes for body repair. I did that before when I got rear ended in March '06 (I also got rear ended in June 2005 and July 2000) and I took it to a local body shop in Milpitas and then the other insurance and my insurance also checked out my car. I gave the other insurance people my quote from the body shop and they pretty much matched it all except for $5 of it. My damage was fixable and I was able to get a kick @$$ new bumper.

I did file a report with the police, filed a claim with my insurance, the guy had no insurance but was driving a rental car and got the insurance through them. Now Enterprise has paid for my new bumper and will also be paying for my medical expenses (my settlement is still open).

I wish you luck and hope that things get taken care of soon.
