Default Need a OEM Hood for my 06 Silver color TC

Just last week on my way to work, I was driving down on 280 north bound to stanford area, just right before the alpine exit, my hood got hit by a projectile right on the front of the hood at driver side, it left a big indent and scrape across, the paint got mess up too. My car is only 6 months old, I report the incident to my insurance company, they wrote me a check of $550. I was looking at serveral body shop in the bay area, they either bondo the hood or have it replaced. If they bondo it , it cost right about $700.00, and for a brand new hood painted+color matching+blending with the fenders, cost about from $900- $1600.00. People told me about using carbon fiber hood and it is cost effective. But I want to keep my car look as original as possible. Keep one thing in mind, the brand new hood from Japan which will be purchase through dealership, it will not be painted but it comes with primer(which is a coating ready for fresh paint), it only cost $300. So, you guys can do the math. Of course I will replace the hood no matter what, I am not gonna to paid someone to bondo the hood while the hood only cost $300 and my car is relatively new. This type of toyota car, its gonna to last at least 300,000 miles no matter what if you know how to take care of it good.
"Just to let you all know, this type of incident can happen to any one, even if it is 1/ million chance, I made a mistake when changing lanes while approaching an exit, I should of keep at least 4-5 car distance(which is a safe distance), other wise.....I could of SEE the projectile and avoid it. Imagine your car going 60mph and above, the projectile hit you with your own speed, this a a tremendous force going straight towards you, it can cause serious damage.........no matter the projectile is made out of rubber or plastic, the damage can be very serious.....and I hope people can learn from my mistake too......SO I REALLY NEED INPUT FROM THE SCION OWNER COMMUNITY, I AM LOOKING AT IF SOMEONE OWN A SILVER TC AND THEY HAVE A CARBON FIBER HOOD, IN WHICH I COULD BUY THE USED OEM HOOD FROM THE OWNER.
Thanks much!!

i have an OEM silver hood off of my '05 tC just sitting in my car right now. I'd be willing to let it go for $100. There are no major defects with it. Let me know if you're interested.

the wheel that is in the best condition isn't absolutely perfect. It has 2 small one inch long scratches allow the rim. They aren't deep at all, and aren't that noticeable. I think it would still be good for a full size spare at least.

Hey Bobby! The wheel........did you hit the curb or something, that's why it got scratch, otherwise........they are not bend or anything right?? You know when they do wheel balancing in the shop, when they spin the wheel on the machine, they can tell if the wheels are bend....but I hope yours aren't bend. Thanks......Philip K C

No, none of them are bent. They just have a little curb rash that's all.
