anyone in bayarea knows or knows somebody who can mod chip a ps2???

im sick of paying $49.99 for a darn game

well... eventually i want to upgrade my n1... in doing so... i'm gonna have to open that thing and solder a few things together...

that on the other hand.. when i bought it was like $2K.... a little more pricy than a ps2 when it comes down to risk...

 

well i got a stupid friend who modded his and end up screwing it.. he said the stuff u should solder is quite small

 

Just got HDloader and the network adapter, it's a lot easier...no need to mod.

Get someone local on craigslist to do it, make sure they have done a ton of them. The best idea would be to get a bigger hardrive installed in it while their doing the chip so you can just transfer games onto it and not have to burn them. Just rent and transfer, or download and transfer. Usually you can get a good deal if they install both at once. Or you can get the solderless and/ or "swapmagic" and install those yourself.

I had craigslist guys do my ps2 and xbox, I watched them do it and made sure they had a backup system to give me if they messed up. Good luck, very worth it in the end.
