So... my buddy and I just decided to take a random road trip in June. More than likely the 13th thru the 19th. We want it to be "spontaneous" but also need some good ideas. We're starting (and finishing) here in Sacramento CA.

Anyone have good ideas of where to go? what to do? what to see? where to stay? etc. Any help is appreciated!

 

Meet up with the Scion peeps in Las Vegas, or even go to San Diego and meet with them or better yet go to Lompoc and meet up with the Central Valley scion people

Either way you will be on the I-5 or 101 for any of these trips and you will still get to meet new scion people!! :D

 

Stick to the big roads. You don't want to end up like those guys on "Deliverance".

I would definatly do the drive down 101

 

I'd go the other way. It's a beautiful time of the year. Up I-5 -> 299 -> down 101 -> hwy 20 or 153 to Lakeport and back across to Sac...

 

well it depends on how long you wanna drive, what kind of scenery your looking for and what not but heres what I would do:

Hway 5 north to Redding - near Shasta
Hwy 299 west to Eureka and the coast
Hwy 101 south to a town called Leggett
pick up Hwy 1 south and drive along the coast through Fort Bragg- beautiful drive
Take hwy 1 all the way past Bodega bay almost to SF then cut back over to SAC

Like I said it depends on how much driving you wanna do, but that seems like it would be a good trip, wouldnt mind going myself haha.

Oh yeah and being the time of year it is and what not just bring some simple camping gear and hit up overnight camp stops along the way, much cheaper and more enjoyable. either way you should have a lot of fun!

 

San Diego baby!!! We'll be here and have a good party or somethin! There's beaches and babes and of course Mexico ain't far!

 

Or put it off till july...
