This was all of that and more! Was fun meeting new peeps and see old peeps.

Wish i could have stayed longer, but gota get too the family reunion.

like posted on the other thread ended up not being able to go anywhere as my good friend passed away that afternoon had to take care of his apartment at his sisters request sucked still miss the guy. anyhow anyone get pictures i wanna see them

 

So sorry to hear. Do what you gotta do as pictures will be up by random people who have taken them. I unfortunately did not take any pictures this weekend.

Always good to see everybody but I felt the event could have been better. I hope a complaint was made about the food. I thought we were going to have a buffet not a banquet dinner with no options. Not that is was bad but I think Brandons over charged. I couldn't even get carrot cake because they ran out? The judging was pretty unprofessional . How did the Gen 2 with the mountain scene, with custom built subs and a huge plasma that was motorized not win best ice. Not taking anything away from the winner but that wasn't right. Wish it there wasn't controversy, but that is the show world right? But over everything it is always good to see some people and make new friends. That always makes it worth it.

 

Well just because a car has a kicken system doenst mean he should win.. He did win Best ICE though...

I mean the xB2 that won.. was bagged, avg system, racing seats off another car, some interior work, rims, and some bolt ons....

More points in all categories.. is gonna beat a guy with some points in some categories.

 

If you read what I wrote this had nothing to do with the overall car just the ice. I know he didn't win because I was talking with him the whole dinner and he was pretty bummed that it didn't go his way. Again I am taking nothing from the winner, very clean. And no matter what, everything to do with the ice in the gold gen 2 was more custom and artistic then anything out there. Come on custom built and anodized subs with lazer etching of his compay name on them. That's pretty dope. Should he have won an overall trophy, defiantly not but best ice I don't think anyone could argue that. Nothing was a bolt on that system. That was innovative and defiantly next level, even behind the rear seat was finished like the rest of the trunk. Hey it is what it is.

And you don't need to explain how the point system works to me. That is common sense.

 

not hating on the winners at all but i just want to know how someone with knock off parts beats a complete JDM car for first place? Someone please help me figure this out?

 

ya..i agree...winners deserved to win, but some things didnt add up..i wanted to know my end score, there isnt alot that is stock about my xB any more...its rust, and dirty..and wonder..did i loose points cause of my style....the last scion event i went to gave us our score cards back....something to consider in the future.

 

yeah thats why i said this show was aight.... a lil tooo hyped up for me. i thought it was gonna be the best show in norcal EVER!!!!!!! saw that it was a big ol meet.... then i started drinking... LOL im just gonna attend the socal shows from now on LOL =)

 

there was to much "smoking" for me....so another event like that...i wont make it....to stressful with that around me. and people light up next to me..knowing im military...and laugh at it...ya, its a joke to them, but when i get tested..pop positive, then just dont kick you out..they fine you, put you in jail....it gets really nasty. Its ok on their time by their selves...but please, not right next to me. had to rant that...cause its been driving me NUTS!!!!

That is what this event was about was to meet people behind the screen names, make new friends, hang out with some old friends....not all of us get to hang out with each other all the time due to work, family life and personal situations.

Also we got to chat bout scions and chat it up bout the work that was done to the scion.....also the passion you see they have put into it.....love it when people talk bout their ride and are hella excited about what they have done and plan to do....
