Here is an FYI

KMEL didn't sponsor this event, they promoted it....

The whole "Club scene" behind the cars, That was thanks to someone in Scion Corp not KMEL......

LIVE 105.3 NEXT YEAR IS A MUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

well... as far as i know the person who organized most of the stuff.. or so.. is out of the picture... things had to be played out and most had to be taken care of as they came as it was too late to change it all...

gah... did it suck compared to previous years? totally...

did this feel like a private scion event? honestly... no.
that was the biggest issue.. and that was what caused issues to arise.

as much as Scion can try to reach out to reach to other crowds to get them involved.... most, if not all, of them this year... with this particular crowd... they got involved.. sure.... showed up... watched their concert.. got all hyphy and didn't care about ANYTHING else....

i saw a number of stoned guys just all up on the corp's cars by the fountain at one time... i had to literally yell at them before they even budged.. looked at me with the stupidest... omfg... stoned look i've never seen in my life before... and then just stood there dumbfounded.

i say online registration for private events... and a little more control over this dealership test drive thing..

good and all for them to test drive the car and stuff..

but if thousands of them are doing it for the wrong reason... it's still pointless...

we might have gotten them into a car to drive for a little bit... but i doubt most of them are doing it simply because they actually want to look into purchasing the car...

but just to take in part of an event for actual potential owners, enthusiasts, and owners.

well of all these folks who don't care theres some real thug life folks who actually do like scions , whether or not they'll buy one is another story but yeah. scion needs crazy events like this but they also need more owner centric events. we (owners) are their biggest and best promotional tool. luckily scion has it like that cause word of mouth only works so well.

yea.. i'm a walking Scion advertisement pretty much.. and the scion diversity i do know reaches into that crowd as well..

just more the process and organization of such things as this, is pretty much almost impossible to weed out the trouble causing non-enthusiasts.

scion night is well.. a scion event... a private event for as mentioned: potential owners, enthusiasts, and owners.

an enthusiast doesn't have to own one, or even plan on purchasing one... but what they at least have or should have is respect for the vehicles... which is what the majority of the crowd didn't have.

You guys think Scion would consider doing SN5 at Great America???

BTW, I got there kinda late and only got to go on 2 rides (damn that 1 hr wait for Medusa!!! >_< ), but all in all I had fun...

X2 with the retards doing burnouts in the parking lot...They need to grow up...

don't think they would consider great america...

thought about it? i guess... it was talked about last year after how much SN3 wasn't too great..

but with what happened... yeah... pouring salt on an open wound would've been more preferable i think for some people anyway this year...

great america is too expensive, btw.

I think it would have been a lot better with a different radio station there. Hip-hop will always bring the wrong crowd.

How is Great America too expensive for a company that makes millions/billions each year? Is there such a thing for a major car company? You have to remember that Scion was invented by Toyota, which has been around for years. SO is there such a thing as too expensive for them???

i would prefer it to be local bands to warm up to someone such as like AFI or a local california band who the only kids well get are the rocker ones because they can fit better than the thugs that we got.

i thinks GA is kinda of hard to do because you have to rent the place out, then pay for the people to operate the rides and games and food places. thats alot of money. keep in mind that this is a local thing that i dont believe they do any where else in the country so consider us lucky for having that. GA would be nicer because of the rides and more room for showing cars inside but that would mean people would have to pay to get in for scion to think about moving it.

GA is now owned by cedar fair now so maybe it will be cheaper? i am sure cedar fair people are nicer than paramount.

side note: i hate paramount and dreamworks so if they had it at GA and it was still owned by paramount i wouldnt go.

also interviews of the performers are found on the KMEL site as well.

I do think it's great that Scion puts on this event and others, but still. What's the point of showing cars if there aren't that many on display. If they continue to put this on and want to get possible buyers there to see the possibilities. Wouldn't it make sense to try and get as many cars on display as possible?
