Default Taking my Xb to Tahoe?

I'm wondering if the Xb has enough juice to make a decent trip to Tahoe is a few weeks or should I fork up a couple of hunderd bucks to rent an SUV?

Anyone from the Bay area have experience driving their Xb's to Tahoe in the winter?

I did that trip soon after I picked it up.
Plenty of juice to make it. I especially liked not having to stop 1/2 way there for gas.

Just make sure you take chains.

i drove my xB in north tahoe while it snowed...with air ride...with chains...

if youre on air. skip it. if you absolutely love your paint. skip it... but its no harder in an xB than it is in a civic... just being low in snow is no fun (got stuck in snow at boreal and had my buddy pull me out...) too low for a snowbank

not sure about tahoe, but I've taken the box back and forth to reno from the bay. both dry, raining, and snow. snow/salt suck, if you can, get a REAL good wax on before you go, and wash, clean, detail, wax after. (come to think of it, during snow I usually rent a car so I don't have to worry about chains coming loose, road salt, or anything else...)

I just got back from Mammoth/June tonight. I drove through Tahoe on my way there and back.
I made it fine both ways. I would recommend changing out your front rims if you have ones you don't want the chains to scratch up.

I did drive around in the snow with out chains while up there. The traction control works great at slower speeds.

Good luck with your trip!
