I agree! The new xB is unique in it's own way but they should of called it something else besides the xB. They didn't keep the xA name yet the new xD is a small 4-door car.

The new xB has the tC front end look but with a SUV body.

 

I wonder how many people would be interested in an emblem replacement for our classic xB's if I had a bunch made. Thoughts?

 

But what emblem are you thinking of? I've seen quite a few that I've liked better than the Scion pig-nose emblem on our grills, but I'm not sure you could get any agreement from folks as to what would be best.

(Actually, neither front nor rear emblem on mine are anywhere near "stock," except for the "xB" on the rear hatch (in profile).

I might just have to put "Classic" under that.

That is exactly what I am talking about Tom. The only thing I am suggesting is a custom made one that isn't just chrome lettering to add on beneath it that says classic but an emblem that replaces the current xB with the words classic beneath it that fits all together. I will just mock one up after my meeting and post it. If I can get enough interest I would gladly head up the creation and ordering of them.

Looking on the Scion site,.. the accessories for the new cars makes me mad,... they choose to bring out these two new models with all these really nice accessories and yet they don't let the original models get any updated accessories,.. its like they just forgot about the original cars.

I am working out one that matches the xB correctly before I send off for quotes. I have found a few places that don't sound too expensive to have them made. I am willing to front the money in the hopes that more people will want them at some point :D

 

That does look good! I don't think you would have any trouble selling them, but you never know.

 

True, I honestly just want one for me but I suspect there are a few of the original box owners around SL that would rock this. I will post in a new thread when I have any new info.

Hmmm...I assume the lacquer would only come in red. Is this an accurate assumption?

 

Skulls, how 'bout just the [CLASSIC] addition to the OEM xB? In other words just a well made, properly sized tag to put below the stock emblem? That would save trying to match the original emblem...

I could do that -- it will probably be even cheaper to get them made. When I get back from Portland I will call up all the places I found online and see if I can get the ball rolling on the emblems

Tomas I haven't had time to keep the ball rolling on it and I am currently at home bed rest due to surgery. If you want to take over feel free but the earliest I could get back on it will be a few weeks.
