I never bothered to watch any Bond movies that didn't star Pierce Brosnan - most things made before my time (movies, music, books, etc) bore me (unless historically significant or really interesting). I usually went to see the cars, gadgets, and women - not the story.

The remake of Casino Royale downplays all the things I liked and focuses more on the story - this should be interesting to see.

Old movies usually bore me, but the Bond ones are an exception. If you find them boring, the 007 Books are by far superior.

I definitly plan to see this movie.

and I'll be giddy as a school girl come December for the 12 Days of 007.

As for Brosnan, he did alright with Goldeneye, but the other ones were just trash. Casino Royale looks like they're taking it back to the books, where James was one seriously disturbed person. Think of it like Bruce Wayne with an extra spoonful of psychosis.

Sure, I'll see the latest Bond movie - as soon as it's out on DVD...

(You must be thinking of Connery, Dustin. )

Yup I hear you, i'm gonna try to go see it before the Northgate M&G! As for the plot how could that ever get old? Its like an autobiography of my life except for the almost dying part, all the fancy gadgets, the hot wonmen and the English accent...but other than that...

I luv Bond movies but I was soooo not into Brosnan! From Golden Eye onwards it was a big YAWN! And no matter how great Hallie Berry looks in a bikini (cuz I could care less) it doesn't make me look past such a poor film (Die Another Day) that I only even watched half of it.

And apparently I'm the only one that thinks Roger Moore was da bomb!

I hope the new guy can pull it back from the brink of 007 crap but I'm not going to hold my breath as I saw him in the Lara Croft films and was unimpressed.

I agree w/ Mattvs I used to look forward to theis time of year for the 007 days of Bond as well, not the food, not the family togetherness, but for an imaginary character that would smooth talk his way into meeting the bad guy, hook up w/ the fox and then blow exerything up...dang does it get any better than that?!
