actually what i found worked best for my divorce was a "accidentally" packed up something that she really wanted and then used it as leverage to get all the crap that i wanted... it seemed to work pretty well... except for the fact that she got the house, the furniture, and most everything else i owned... but i got to keep the scion and some semblance of dignity.

Infamous, is this between your mother and father, or step father whom you're very close to? I hope you're okay!

No divorce knowledge here *knocks on wood*

Unfortunately...I hate to say...but I can recommend quite a few good lawyers and firms...let me know what she's looking for:

a. an amicable break up
b. to take everything
c. to get it over quick
d. to have the biggest/best guns in town to protect her or her assets/interests

Also...is cost a factor?

Mo knows he can never divorce me or I'll have the screws on him so fast ;)

she would like it to be amicable but after all the [crap] he's done i'd rather her B, C, and or D.

cost is somewhat of a factor because he's a big spender so she doesnt have much saved up (not counting joint accounts). i can give you some details if needed so maybe you can let me know which one is best.

but yeah, please let me know. thanks!
