I think we might be able to drive up to Everett and than take an alternate route from there. It's like 25 min from Monroe.

sounds like option 2 might be the better route since I'm assuming any roads near 405 will be clogged lol

i suggest route 2 as well. if you are not familiar with the area then that is the fastest easiest way to get there w/o getting lost

I put this up in the Formula-D post also...but just for quick reference.

For those of us coming up from the Oregon or south of Renton....
Looks like the closure is only between SR 167 and Maple Valley Highway (SR 169). I mapped out a detour and if the exits are open for 167 & 169, you should be able to hop off @ 167, head over to S Grady Way/900, and then rejoin I-405 @ SR 169.
If you're early enough, it might add 10min to the commute.
Looks like a connect across I-90 would be another option... You'd get to go through a tunnel and rev your engine

4.Take exit 10A to merge onto I-405 N toward Bothell/Everett12.9 mi
5.Take exit 23 toward Woodinville/Wenatchee/US-20.6 mi
6.Merge onto WA-522 E13.4 mi
7.Turn right at US-2 W/Stevens Pass Hwy0.5 mi
8.Take the 2nd right onto 179th Ave SE/Mc Allister Rd Destination will be on the right

So yeah, this doesn't affect anyone already north of SR-169 like myself, we can just take the regular way as we would have done anyway, so that's the route me and my friends will be taking.
