Bungee Jump April 7 2007
with Tikigirl jumping, we have the 5 minimum met (thanks jennifer). We have two time slots set aside for our group. This will allow for 13 to 14 jumpers total. So anyone else that wants to come, please let us know.

Okay gang...I was getting more excited about this and trying to work on guts to jump...then I read the website:
"Twenty Stories of pure adrenaline! Builders and original owners of the highest T-Tower in the world and owners of the highest bungee bridge in the United States!"
I figure if I keep visualizing it I might be able to jump in reality.
Who all is going...speak up...I'm going to try to overcome my fears...are you???

Cory still insists on doing this.
We bought some life insurance last week (no joke - but we were going to do that anyway) and were assured that my husband will be covered.
I'm currently debating whether or not to run to him when he crashes to the ground or to comfort my children.
(I really am not comfortable with this, can you tell?)

The directions for getting to the bridge is on the first post, both from Seattle and Portland. I've started a new thead in the regular area to comfirm the jumpers and a constant reminder bump'able thread.
Again, we have the time slot(s) from 11 to 1. This will allow for 13 to 14 jumpers. So if you are not sure you want to do this, but would like to decide when we get there, that is fine. No pressure, if you don't tell anyone you are thinking about it, but show up and decide you want to test your religion/faith, then the time will be there for it.
I would like to call the bungee group by thursday to touch base with them with our exact "confirmed" numbers. The minimum is still 5 for them to come out.

I'm contemplating it.... looking for funds.... and spreading the word to others to see if they want to come out... maybe I can convince some of the XS guys to suck it up.... I got a new HD Camera with Hard Drive Recording to play with, so it'd be fun to go out and at least get some cool vids and edit it for fun!
Oh CRAP
Total Est. Time: 3 hours, 51 minutes
Total Est. Distance: 221.16 miles
I had NO idea this was THAT far away. What time does the jumping start? I gotta go look. I can't get done with my route until about 6-6:30am, so just getting to the meeting site is going to be close.

meeting at 10:30... jumps start @ 11:00. There will be a disclaimer to sign when we arrive at the site and a technical speach about what position to be in when the rubber band is stretched (facing up towards the bridge).
I wouldn't sweat the time frames too much. When I was there the first time, it took like 30 minutes for them to get the equipment out and set up. Then they have to weigh everyone (to avoid the sudden stop at the bottom of the creek).
PM coming your way Jenna... heads up

I see that you made it perfectly clear that the drive was 3 hours from Seattle, in the first post of this thread, lol. Sometimes I'm not a very good reader!
But it's okay... my husband is looking forward to this, big time. And hell, what's a few hundred miles? We have driven to Wisconsin and back a few times, even to Tennessee. And hey, since I did the route, my butt will be sleeping the whole way there!

Wooooooo-Hooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was quite possibly the best hundred bucks I've ever spent on myself. Videos were shot, though I am not tech savvy enough to post them.
It was nice to meet those that I haven't yet and nice to see those I have.
