Default Car Insurance

So I've got a year now until Im 25, and for the longest time ive heard that at 25 most insurance places classify you no longer in the high risk age bracket.
Man Im hoping this is true, because over the last 3 years Ive seen nothing but increases in my insurance, all sadly coming to me right before my birthday. This really bugs me because in feb of 07 my insurance went down $10 a month, and the reason was because my age changed, so intially i got excited. Of course a month later i get a letter saying its being raised by $6 or $7 due to a re-evaluation of accident rates in my area. Then last year I get the TC in december and in february I get another $10 increase, not decrease. The reason then was because the TC was found to be in more accidents and not hold up so well in them, according to state farm.
And finaly this year, another $10 increase for the same reason.

Sorry for the novel, but Im tired of seeing increases year after year, dispite having no at fault accidents, no tickets and having all the allowable discounts.

Im wondering if anyone actually saw a decrease in rates at age 25?

Cause im starting to doubt i will.

they will not drop your rates pretty much ever.......what you can do is tell them hey I heard at 25 you drop the cost, tell them if they do not wish to give you a better price let them know you will be taking your money elsewhere.I left Farmers as they kept raising my rates every 6 months, hassle me about everything and they never got my coverage right for my work or home,so I left them and now pay nearly $100 a month less for more insurance.I am accident free for 16 years,no tickets,no nothing......I suggest shop around, your money should not be given away for less.My insurance agent is awsome.....she even owns a Scion as does her hubby and worked hard to find me the lowest price and most coverage.

Yeah, Im planning on doing some shopping around as soon as i can. But saddly Im between a rock and a hard place since I had an accident last year, which led to me getting the tC.

I was t-boned by someone who ran a red. hes fighting it and claiming i ran the red. Best part was it was at an intersection in portland, where there is a red light camera. The camera only goes off though if some one runs the red heading north/south. I was traveling north and he hit me heading east, so if i ran the light the camera would have gone off, and if he ran it, it wouldnt have gone off, since its only activated bye north and south traffic. Needless to say the camera didnt go off, only proving what i already said and know. Hope that makes since.

Seems pretty open and shut, especially since it was his second accident of the day, yes 2 in 1 day, both totaled.

Im off topic now, but my point is, i dont really want to get another provider until this accident is finalized. Its already been enough of a cluster....

I was hoping the red light would tie it up. But its been open for a year and 4 or 5 months now.

It took the other party 10 months or so, just to give a statement on what happened.
They have since gone to arbitration.

Im at about 166/mo now. I have low deductables, but changing those will only alter it about 5 bucks a month. And I'd rather have them low.

Yes a low deductable is a good thing,it sucks to have to pay out a lot of money in the case of an accident,I for one am usually strapped for cash.

Yeah when it gets in front of a judge and they cannot show any evidence of you running a light via a red light camera then they have no case.

If you or anyone in your family has served in the military check out USAA. Probably the best company ever.

I paid $53/mo. on the 4runner with fantastic protection and low deductible. I will be paying $62/mo. on the new car (IS250AWD or G37 coupe)
