There are a few folks from Corvalis in the ScionLife registry...

Singleshot is one of 'em, and he's quite active in the Scion Community, and has a killer xB:

Corvallis is an awesome town, the College is amazing. I practically lived down there last year for the weekends... No doubt it was all about the parties but I saw a lot of the campus/town too! Thumbs up. You'll have a blast.

I like that part of the valley in general. Very scenic and Less crowded etc. than PDX area.

Grass is always greener

Corvallis in a nut shell

Plenty of bars per capita.

non alcolic activities:
miniture golf
3 golf courses
1 bowling alley (2 if you count the one on campus)
1 skating rink (yes 4 wheels per skate)
(and yes. these are activites that revolve around alcohol as an adult)

Several eatting establishements, but nothing out of the ordinary (we don't have that "something different" when you don't know what you want).

For kids... There is nothing. I grew up in a town simular to this. The spawn of alcoholics and nerds.

I'm an Oregonian, transplanted in Washington. Thats a real nice area. Close to Eugene and that can be a fun town too. I am originally from Salem. Corvallis is not far from some of the most beautiful beaches ever. Little over an hours drive to Waldport/Newport area, and my favorite , Cape Perpetua and Yachats.
Life is a little slower down there and as far as I'm concerned, that aint such a bad thing.
