A trip on the coast is always fun! One of our favorite places. We will try and make it on Aug. 12th. The Labor Day weekend trip definitely sounds like fun, since we currently have no plans yet.

gabi and I just spent 4 days out in Newport and Nehalem! If I can convice her to go back, we should be able to swing down for the day.

So, any idea where we are going to meet? Route we are taking? etc.

 

We'll be meeting at Scion of Gladstone at 9:30am, then heading to the coast from there. As for the specific route - I think that's still up in the air...

 

Most direct route would be Hwy 26 (Sunset Hwy) to Seaside, then 101 to Tillamook.

From Tillamook, you can take Hwy 6 home.

If you guys decide to take 26 to Seaside, I'll probably meet the convoy on 26 since I'm already out on this side(Beaverton).

 

Yeah, thats what I was thinking also, would be faster for me to go over Cornelious Pass and meet off 26. Tu, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find an easy on/off lot and we can meet them there,

 

Corneliuus Pass and 26. There's a Fred Meyer right there. We could all pull in to there. They have a gas station in case anyone needs to gas up. And I'm pretty sure there's a Starbucks in case anyone needs to "gas up".

The Freddies is just about right where the 2 roads intersect...

 

If we leave Gladstone at 10, what time will we get there? 10:30? 10:45? Keep in mind, no traffic (Sunday morning)...

Robbie, can we sticky this, since it is less than a month away?

 

Freddies sounds good, used that parking lot before for same thing, lol.

 

Yeah, leaving Gladstone at 10 should put us at Freddies about 10:30 or so. 10:45 at the latest.
