Dear St. Johns hospital, First, thank you for taking care of my wife while she was there for 5 days with pneumonia a little over a month ago.
Now for my rant, If you call one more time and harrass my wife for payment on our bills that we are paying on I'm going to come down there and release holy terror on you. We are paying our bills for your services, every month. We are sending you at least $100 every month and our insurance has paid 90% of the bill already, quit acting like we aren't paying anything. Calling and saying that you are going to send our bill to collections if its not paid in full by the next week. telling us that you have a financial institution that will gladly loan us the money at 14.9% interest, no thank you. If we were on welfare we wouldn't even be getting these calls and threats, but since we are working stiffs who are actually responsible and pay our bills your going to call and harrass us for payment in full until we give it to you. Next time you call, you will be told exactly where to go, send our bill to collections, it will take that much longer to get your money. This stress is not helping my wife at all, making her sicker because she is worried about our credit that we worked so hard to get to where it is to have you idiots try to ruin it. Thanks alot you jerkwads.

 

Robbie.......cindy and I have gone through this all year......Call the hospital,tell them exactly what you just wrote,then demand to have the name of the collections agency that they will send the bill to.Then call the collections agency and let them know your bill will be going to them.Let them know what day of the month is best for you to make your payment on and the amount that you will be paying each month.

Our bill to the hospital,surgeon,and anesteseoligist came to just over $650 a month......roughly 25% my take home income,my rent is roughly half my income and my car payments are near the other 25%.......leaving us with nothing for food or gas or medicine or anything.........I had to sell my art collection to pay down everything enough to be able to live........this is after my insurance paid 80-90% of the bill as well.

You are right on welfare sittign on your butt you would never receive a call,and also would not be charged the same amount either,in fact much less for the same treatment.

The hospital of course demands payment in full in 18 months,this is insane in some cases.

My best friend who I found injured was in a coma for 12 days,his family received a bill for $140,000,payable in 18months.........they lost their home they worked 25 years to get,they lost their property,they lost their lives in as much and still had to pay for a funeral for thier son.........

Hospitals need to be ashamed of themselves.........if a $100 a month is all you can afford then call them because I am sure they demand much much more a month to make the 18 month window.........and demand they send you to collections,then file a complaint to your insurance commisioner,and to the state medical director.......

 

Also Robbie your credit score is already being trashed by the hospital,your bill to them is already recorded on it,your score has already dropped due to the amount of the bill,so may as well put it in collections.........make the hospital wait for the money.

 

In fact take that $100 for next months payment and take your wife out for dinner and buy her some flowers.......

Guess you can tell this a touchy thing for me........we had to sell Cindys brothers prized art that we can never afford to buy back to pay a hospital for crappy care.....we left feeling raped.

 

If it ends up going to collections we will be sending them 10 to 25 a month, you would think that they would be happy getting 100, we only owe around 1,200 at this time, and we have the money in the savings, but that is part of our home improvement loan that we need to get the house back in shape. its taking us long enough to get this done, if we dip into it, it will take that much longer to get our kitchen project finished, tired of looking at a half finihed project. They offered us a form to fill out, could get anywhere from 10 to 100% of the bill waved if we meet the criteria, but they want the last three years financial info and you can't have a bank account with money in it basicly, and what I made 3 yrs ago has no relavance to what I'm making this yr. Just frustrated, I need to make a visit, think I would feel better if I got to chew on some financial b---hes fat butt, give them a piece of my mind, anyone got bail money, lol.
