eBox fully electric xB conversion
I saw this and thought some people might find it interesting. It's not exactly cheap for the kit but it is pretty damn cool that someone has developed it for an xB.

I looked over the entire website and I must say, if it wasn't for the price tag, I would honestly go for it. A range of almost 200 miles would easily fit the bill in terms of commuting. The 0-60 in 7 seconds is mighty impressive.
This proves that the xB is more than your advantage car and has a wide range of what the user can do.
It is a shame the Box ends production as something like this could become something very very popular.

Scion xB 5-speed, new or low mileage, supplied by customer
$13,000 to $18,000 including options, taxes, and fees
Conversion to electric $55,000 plus tax, includes all parts and labor, per specification sheet
Limited Warranty One-year limited parts and labor warranty on all conversion systems. Scion factory warranty on rest of car may be void.
Availability Available in California only; subject to discretion of AC Propulsion
Deposit Accepted orders must be secured with a $10,000 deposit
So what we are looking at is a $68,000 to $73,000 xB with a one year LIMITED warranty? If I use $20 in gas a week, that's $1040 a year. If I have the car for 10 years that's $10,400 in gas (who really owns a car for 10 years these days[and I'm not talking classic my grand-pa bought this car new kind of car]). If it breaks down I can take it to one of the 5 dealerships near by. Not just... I don't know where.
Not really seeing much of a plus side here.

I wasn't so much suggesting it as a great alternative but more so noting that at least 1 company has made a kit like this. Hopefully it will spark other companies to make similar kits that are not so high priced.
