The finished Scion xA stealth spare tire subwoofer
Some pictures of my stealth SQ10 enclosure in an '06 Scion xA. I need to clean the sawdust on the sub, but I'm pretty happy with it. Steel mesh grill from Parts Express allows me throw crap in the back when I need to. The install allows me to keep the spare intact in the stock location.
The eDesigns xA 'Devo Hat' enclosure (I think I'm the only person that bought one, LOL).

My rear hatch floor with enclosure attached, not carpeted.

The SQ10 definitely doesn't compare to the ID, but functionally it's perfect for my needs.
AND, I can still throw the ID in the back when I'm craving those lower octaves.

Hey that came out great.........you should come tot he Titus Will Show tomorrow and let us check out the work.........great time to meet some of the gang up here......free car show and free food........really does not get much better.......Brian
Thanks
I actually think I'm going to start another rear hatch enclosure and go for a 12" stealth install from scratch using my Image Dynamics ID12v.3D4 sub.
While the SQ10 install looks good, the odd shape has forced me to move my amps from the hatch area to under the seats. The problem there is heat vents that feed out directly under the seat, and it is also a pain to adjust amp settings.
Not sure if I'm going to try and make a sealed 12" stealth enclosure, or just go free air/infinite baffle.
I'll post more when I get the project started.
