Fixing paint chip/scrapes
So whats up guys. Today I was entering the freeway and this anxious idiot driver behind me kept getting closer into my car at a red light. They eventually got too close and hit me a little. I didnt want to make a scene (I was ready to jump out of the car and do so), but I decided to keep driving. I got out after going to Discount Tire (checking my tire pressure cause my gauge was on, and I noticed that my paint was scrapped a little in the back (its a small circle, but not attractive). I bought this car used as well and I had a very bad asian lady driver who owned the car, and lets just say there are a few marks on the car. I bought touch up paint before to fix it, but the color still is not right. Is there any shop in the Seattle/Bellevue area that can fix these? Someone told me they would have to repaint the entire panel of the car.
yeah when i got a quote to fix some spots on my car, they told me they had to completely sand down and repaint the entire body panel. it is possible to paint just that specific spot, but when you put new paint to cover the spot then it is noticeable because the rest of the paint is the same age of the car whereas the paint you put on there is new and is a lot cleaner looking. i would suggest that when you find a shop to fix the spot, get the entire panel repainted. it will cost more, but look sooooo much better.
yeah best bet is a body shop or someone who really knows wut they r doing.. i had a small spot fixed on my xb and the shop was able to feather it nicely and blend it very well so u cant even tell they did any work to the car..
