Default Good places to take pictures

I just bought a digital camera over the weekend. Its nothing special. Just a cheap one.

I was hoping to go out and take pics of either my car or just sights around the western washington area. Any suggestions of places that would give me a good scenic background for my car? or of any fun places to take pics at? In the past ive taken pics of my car at the Stonehenge replica and then ive just taken pics of the freemont troll.

Thanks in advance.

- note - This is Natalie from PSTOC (Puget Sound Toyota Owners Club) I hope to make it out to some of your meets/events and get to meet a majority of you in the near future! :-)

umm.. alki, gasworks park, probably anything with the sound or a lake in the background... any shots with the mountains in the background would work too.....

Kerry Park is great for some skyline backgrounds, there's various places where you can get Mt Rainier or Mt Saint Helens in the backgrounds, the back roads in Darrington to get to Lake Cavanaugh have some awesome mountain shots, for a more "Metro" look you can take some shots in downtown Seattle or Bellevue, lake shots could include Marina Park in Kirkland or any parks around Lake Sammamish

Hope that gives you some ideas!

Hey Nat,

Well the boys above have gave some awesome ideas.

The road down to Mt. St. Helens is closed due to snow, but when the roads do open up again, drive down to Spirit Lake on a nice sunny day with no wind... sharp view of the mountain with your car would be hot. I plan on doing a photo shoot around the St. Helens and Mt. Rainier areas this summer.

I would have said Myrtle Edwards Park at Pier 70, but that is closed for SAM Sculpture Park... *gags*

EMP and the Tacoma Museum of Glass is nice.. drive up Hwy 410 on a clear day for shots of the car at some pull offs with Mt. Rainier.. would be best in the Summer since the light hits the mountain and most pull offs perfectly.

That's all I can think of from the top of my head. What I normally do is drive around, get a feel for things that is unusual yet stands out and go from that point.

Should have used your camera at the Kitsap meet and greet, you know
break the thing in. As for you not being in the photo shoot, why not,
you got the looks for it.
